That’s the $64000 question, do you jump at one that is available or wait until you see another that really shouts buy me and miss out, I suspect few if any will be available to buy within a few days.
When will the first watch appear for sale at premium price I wonder?
I am sure there are some people gunning for all of them, regardless of colour.

I have heard that at the end there may be a 5 piece collectors set in the offering albeit only a few available.
You’d have to love The Monaco to death I suggest though to fork out $50,000 NZD.

Well, they should put 5 watchwinders in the collectors box.

Zenith did just that for their anniversary set. Three watches and a blank space for a 4th which was not even included in the £50k price tag. So £25k for a 5 piece Monaco set would in comparison be a relative bargain.

Quite a premium!

UK retail price is £5350 and this is currently up for £5850. Let's see if it sells for this, but as a starting point I don't think this is a big premium, especially if they are all sold out.

in the United Kingdom with the Brexit on the doorstep everything will be more difficult to sell internationally.

That isn't even going to cover the selling fees...

Do TH, even small number LE runs hold any real value over time or even gain? I’ve not seen much evidence of it tbh, especially once the initial ‘must have it now’ of the release has passed.

I’d not be surprised if this particular model did a bit better than most. I think it will be one of those that will become more appreciated and coveted over time.

Probably placed on ebay on a maximum £1 fees day

I'm sure a Gulf 50 would fetch more than its original purchase price

The Siffert Autavia seems to have gained a little, the JH80 Carrera has held its value, everything else drops significantly

IMO, watches should be bought to be worn. Very few are genuine investments except for a handful of well known examples - just as with cars and art and most other things. Deliberate limited editions hardly ever become truly valuable either - as I know from a life spent collecting vinyl! There's a Monaco V4 on Ebay for £23K and no one wants it... Besides which, truly valuable pieces aren't sold on Ebay anyway, they're sold by auction houses.

Maybe it was a VIP gift

Yes, as soon as the Monaco ltd editions are worn, no one will pay decent money for them. Perhaps worn ones will be worth something in 50 years, but not earlier.
