Pondering whether to get the new bracelet. Like it better than the previous version. I'm a straps guy, but the bracelet changes the look and is more practical during hot sticky summer days.

@Calibre11 , your article says the bracelet is a $400 premium over the strap, I assume that's when buying the watch. What's the standalone price of the bracelet?
I paid (full retail 馃榾) A$421

The feature is very useful to spot minor differences and small developments of the design, e.g. lenght of lugs and design of the pushers.
Agree. I'm trying to to overuse it in the posts, but it's great to see what has changed from one model to the next

I wish they would do the left side crown version with the 02 movement. The sapphire caseback on the 02s are very nice & for that price point i'd rather have in house. But alas as Jim mentioned I don't think they will. Shame as the 'calibre 11' style is the one I fancy. Bracelet seems great and hope to see when in the flesh in boutiques/ ADs once they are open again.
I hope so too. Doesn't really make sense for just the Monaco, but would be cool to have a left- side crown "Calibre 11" version of the Heuer 02 for use in all Heuer logo heritage models

...and there's a new bracelet

I think the new bracelet is more modern and will have a wider appeal than the old one. I wonder if the old bracelet is now discontinued?

More modern as in it looks like it was designed in the 80s instead of the 60s?

I'd say the new bracelet is more conservative than the old one- and not quite as well made. The old one was a little bling, but nice and heavy. This one is well made, but not to the same standard. I think the old one was a similar cost, but in 2004 dollars, so relatively more expensive.

Actually, maybe not the 80s, more like the 90s. It reminds me of the bracelet on my wife's 2000.

The new one does look more conservative. The old bracelet may have been too Art Deco for the average buyer? It was impressive in having seven segments to each link though!

I guess you got lucky and the seller got that price wrong... Do they do mail order and ship to EU ?

Hasn't the old one been discontinued for ages? Like in: There were simply no Monaco variants sold on ANY bracelet?

Anyway - I like the look of the new one much better. The old one distracted looks away from the watchface, IMHO.

The old bracelet could be ordered as a standalone purchase from boutiques.

I think a bracelet more like the one in the original Monza, could have been more appealing.

Not for me. Reminds me of the old elastic type bands used on Timex for example.

Then maybe a little closer to the original to be more elegant.

馃槻馃槻馃槻馃槻馃槻馃槻 It's just short of $10k on the bracelet!!!!!!!!!

WTH, is going on with TH's pricing.

I paid (full retail 馃榾) A$421

That's a bargain if you want it as there is a $600 difference between buying the watch on the strap and on the bracelet.

Maybe when paired with the C11, I'd prefer a '70s vintage re-edition bracelet. But for the H02, C12 or previous "TAG Heuer" branded Monacos, I like the modern reinterpretation. The previous one was a bit too "Las Vegas" for my taste, this one is handsome and understated - IMHO.

If the price is really around $400USD, can't go wrong in getting one I think. I put a call in with my local AD, they're going to get back to me on US pricing. I feel this would go nicely with my C12 Gulf Grey.
