From above. A classic, elegant timepiece. Looks good, doesn't it?


From the side, unfortunately things go a bit pear shaped (literally) and it turns into gangster wrist candy:


I remember when the CH80 was first revealed as it was being sold on being a much thinner chronograph movement. But this being Tag Heuer, they'd probably have put it in a similar height case anyway.

The Calibre 17 is an ETA 2894. Is that an integrated or modular chrono? If the latter, it would never fit in a thinner case.

Hello, I recently bought the Calibre 17. It appears the crown is a push/pull and not screw in, it also appears to be sightly protruding; is that normal? Photos attached. It's my first automatic watch so maybe i'm just being overly fussy but would appreciate thoughts.

The crown is not a screw-in. It looks fine on your photos.

I don't think that any Carrera has a screw-in crown so all good. Enjoy your Calibre 17.
