True, although the blue model didn't really do it for me. I prefer the mainly silver dial with blue registers (CV5111).
My hope is that this new one will be a brighter silver than the original JH80 & the CV5111. If it's the same, then no point for me, since I have the JH80.

They look good on the bracelet, especially the white-dialled version.

Wish they were chronometer-rated like the ones from a few years ago. I wonder what goes into the rationale not to make all of them chronometers, although presumably it's about cost. I believe the CV5110 and CV5111 were the only ones from this line that are chronometers, that I could find, anyway.

Not sure on this. Apart from the first Jack Heuer models, these have always been made in small quantities...maybe it's as simple at ETA offering a good deal on a a batch of chronometers!

Thanks for the new pictures! Do we have confirmation that the silver model is the same shade as the JH80th?

The new one is brighter - and contrasts more with the darker subdials.

It's nowhere near white though...

Thanks. I was told by a dealer in the UK that the color is the same as the JH80. That is why I am looking for confirmation, because if it's the same, then the purchase is difficult to justify, since I have the original already.

From the article:

The difference is more obvious when put side by side as opposed to looking to individual photos.

I'm sure from a distance, you wouldn't know the difference 😀

I'd want to see real photos side-by-side...impossible to tell from digital images whether they're the same or not. Some of the photos I've taken of the Jack Heuer 80 look to have a "whiter" silver too.

I'd expect that it is a little lighter...but as @elbeik says, maybe not enough that you'd notice from a distance

Are these in the same case as the Cal. 17 Chronometres from a couple years ago? Would love to see a height comparison with, say, the 1964 Reedition as the 17s were super tall and nasty. I could not get it off my wrist fast enough when I tried it on

Yes, same case..quite a lot bigger in every dimension than the Re-edition (36mm vs. 41mm- plus the thickness)

The height was the only reason I sold mine.

I should let you guys try my Carrera SpaceX, or worse, Bell&Ross 126 Heritage, and you'll see what a wrist skyscraper is 😀

41mm I could live with, the diameter was fine as were the aesthetics. But looking at it from the side, and on my wrist - it turned a lithe, gorgeous, all-time-classic case design into an overstuffed monstrosity.
