Agree. I think these models are also lacking a tachymeter. I suspect there isn't room to fit one on the chapter ring, or the crystal would obscure it.

Yes, I think this is in part due to the glassbox dome design. As it can make the legibility of the outer perimeter a bit difficult to read.

I couldn't find the Heuer reference, but here's a suggestion:

The only thing I would change on the watch is the white segment on the 9 o'clock sub-dial- make that pink, green, red, another shade of blue..the white segment with the white text gets lost.

They absolutely are!

I really hope that we get a new Heritage Heuer-02 based Carrera next year that resembles these first or second generation models.

Yes, that is exactly it.

Let's exert some peer pressure on @Calibre11
I suggested exploring the Mareographe design colors a few months ago. Maybe this idea can be revisited. 😀

Remember when JCB took over TAG Heuer and said that the vintage editions would be limited to a just a few more? With all of these new editions, it seems to me like that plan has completely has gone out the door.

I tend to like this Rake edition, but I doubt I will get it.

I remember that interview too Hubert... he clearly said there would be one Monaco, one Monza etc etc... and yet here we are. I must admit I did think it was a bit weird claiming there would only be one Monaco. And the way the watch world is going (limited editions / personalisation) that didn't really make a lot of sense to me.

It was a contradiction indeed.

I'm actually glad the whole initial strategy was abandoned. It would have been very sad to only see a handful of heritage models for a limited time and then disappear.

Some elements here that I like- Telemeter 39mm case, simple layout and a beautiful blue dial. I still can't work out the choice of light blue font on the 9 o'clock sub-dial, which is hard to see.

I reckon this one would have looked better with two white sub-dials?

I think I agree about the subdials. I like this, the main reason being the size. I also like blue watches, but not sure the high price is fully merited.
