New Aquaracer, what happened?

As far as the size, I'd like to think it will not feel much different than a 44 mm Carrera Sport or 44 mm Formula 1 Cal 16 (particularly given comments by @abrod520 with regard to its wrist feel).

I'd say based on experience the Superdiver feels more like the 43mm Aquaracer than a chunky Carrera Sport or F1. I think the case is better designed, not as slabby.

The silver dial is interesting alright, but I've read comments from someone who has actually dived with it and hated it because it was completely illegible underwater. The versions I particularly like are the Orange dial and the lumed dial Night Diver version, but I'm finding it hard to commit to buying as I haven't seen or handled them in person. I have the outgoing Breitling Superocean 42 (non heritage) and fancy adding the new one, but the Aquaracer is a much better value proposition in comparison. Then again luxury watches and value propositions generally don't go together 馃榾

In the scheme of things, this person's opinion is irrelevant, 0.001 of customers will dive with it, but they are probably right - reflective surfaces are probably not great for diving with

I agree, it's funny and ironic that manufacturers spend such much on engineering and marketing their luxury dive watches and then practically nobody takes them into the sea. I have a cheapie Citizen eco-drive that I go swimming with, wouldn't dream of taking any of my mechanical divers which I know is daft. Back to the Aquaracer...my AD has the orange dial in stock and is willing to discount (they normally give me 20% off RRP on anything they stock), tempting!

I am utterly bemused as to why I seem to be the only person who doesn't like the orange Aquaracer. Considering I have the orange F1 and I like Aquaracers you'd think it would be a shoe in. But no. Not at all.

Not so keen on the shade of Orange on the face, it鈥檚 a bit in your face, there are others in the range I鈥檇 go for first.
So you are not alone Rob.

I saw these yesterday, and I quite liked them if I鈥檓 honest. I thought the blue popped and liked it on the rubber strap. I like the fact these have ceramic bezels. I wasn鈥檛 hugely keen on the orange, but I think that鈥檚 just my taste (or lack of)

My main dislike was the cyclops at 6pm. The date without it would have worked just fine I think pushed slightly lower down.

Maybe I'm subconsciously anti because I don't want to acknowledge I bought the F1 and should have waited for the Aquaracer - haha.

The F1 is much better to me. Not least as it鈥檚 1500 quid cheaper, but ceramic bezel on a quartz is great etc.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest.

That鈥檚 cool & each to their own. But I鈥檇 never spend more than few hundred pounds on quartz.

I have one in my collection & that will do.

But the orange F1 is one damn cool looking watch

Why is this a bad thing? Tough, reliable, accurate, sounds exactly like the right movement for a F1. The sellita in the AR is none of those things.

Tough & reliable, but a good ETA can be also. Accurate to a point, but doubt Tag does anything like Grand Seiko or Breitling for that fact, just a basic quartz which for the price point is shocking.

But to 'most' buyers the movement is irrelevant. When I bought my Aquagraph in 2014 I didn't know anything. I bought it cos it looked cool, I was shocked when I found out it didn't have a battery.
