On one hand, it's a nice modern update on me quartz aquaracer, which is probably my most worn watch. It looks good and it's very tough. On the other hand, for £150 more I could buy the skyracer colt, or a few hundred more, an aquaracer auto.

Yes buuuut quartz makes so much more sense in this price range. Paying 500 Euro or more to service an automatic aquaracer you paid 1500 for does not make sense to me...

Agreed, I really like my current quartz aquaracer, it's had nothing but a battery in something like 10 years abuse and works perfectly. I even use it to open beer bottles on occasion.
