Hi guys! Brand new to the forum. I’m hoping to get a Monaco Calibre 11 for my 21st next month and begin my journey into the world of watches. I’ve dreamed of having a Monaco since I was young so it really will be a dream come true. My question concerns the box. Most of the websites that sell the reissue model show it without the McQueen box and with a brown Heuer box. Is this correct? Or have they now changed the box? Can’t find any info online so I thought I’d ask here

My Cal.11 came with a standard Heuer box.
When did you get it would you mind me asking? Seems weird that it didnt come with the McQueen box

I brought it pre owned, but it's the original box as supplied when it was purchased in 2016.

It could be that only certain dealers had the McQueen box?

I saw a calibre 11 with nice blue McQueen box definitely for collectors.

Sometimes dealers mix the boxes and tend to pack watches in the first box in sight.
My Carrera JH80 came in a "normal" box.

I got a very good deal, and the non McQueen box wasn't a deal breaker for me, yeah, would have been nice, but I was more interested in getting the watch for a decent price, as I've wanted a Monaco for a long, long time.

Dreaming about a Monaco for the past ten years. Most expensive watch I've ever owned had a dinosaur on it! I always feel bad asking my parents for stuff so they're forcing me to get something special (I know, ultimate first world problems😉) so I'm hopefully getting a calibre 11. Unfortunately the one here in Galway Ireland is idiotically priced so I'll be buying online.

I wouldn't have paid retail for it, pre owned is an option, mine is practically brand new, hasn't got a mark on it.

I can save 1500 euro online and buy a new 2018 model new in box with a two year warranty. It'll cost me 5 grand to buy the own here in town that's been sitting in the shop window for nearly 2 years.......

I just messaged Montredo.com and according to them the calibre 11 has featured the brown box for the last year or so. What a shame. Not a dealbreaker but it's just that the old box with McQueen's signature was very special! Still looking forward to getting mine next month

I'd actually contact TH directly or their agents in your country to check that a second time if the box is important to you. I've never dealt with Montredo, but as they're not an official AD for TH I don't really trust them to know what they are talking about.
The different Calibre 11 versions I have seen from AD, as well as TAG's own boutique's, has been with the blue box.

The reason why I'm inclined to believe him is because every single brand new calibre 11 Monaco I've seen online has the brown box. They still have the little Steve McQueen leaflet of course as you've pictured above. Who do you think I should contact at Tag Heuer? It's not a deal breaker as the brown box is gorgeous but there's something cool about the blue one with McQueen's signature

I can't talk for anyone else besides myself, obviously, but I would be a bit pissed if I got a "new" TAG box when I bought the Autavia Heritage. If you're like me and doesn't care too much about the box that's fine, but if the watch is supposed to be delivered in a certain/special box it should also be delivered in one of those, especailly considering the amount of money we put into this hobby after all.

Or just Ordnung muss sein I guess.😉

Oh you've got an Autavia? Nice! Every new Monaco calibre 11 I've looked at has this box Photo-13-04-2017-18-36-52.jpg

Ah, clearly not the standard 'brown' TAG Heuer box (which is darker brown) and says TAG Heuer on it... obviously.
