The wheels are different….
In that image, yes. But other pics show it with the stock wheels, so truly no extra parts are needed. Unless you really want modern style wheels.

Great collection! The only Cars that I don’t have is the GT3 which has become truly a collectors item 👍

Thanks for sharing and really great to see this. I just realized that driving position is at the right side of the car and stick shift placed at the right side of the driver near the door 😀 Never knew of this positioning and configuration before. Would be nice to know the background behind this. I’ve been thinking about it if I’m driving a manual transmission of a RHD car, my left hand shifting the gears wouldn’t be as fast as what I do 😗

The majority of the race cars of that era are RHD with the gear shift on the right. It has nothing to do with the LHD or RHD setup of road cars. The reason is most European race courses of that era ran clockwise (including Le Mans) with more right hand turns, the RHD seating position gave the race cars an advantage. The gearshift position was also on the right because most race drivers were used to that, since the layout was used in F1 and most other types of racing.

Yes thanks for the background and enlightening us sir 👍 I have a theory on why so and it was rightfully confirmed due to the idea of “driving around in circles” 😉 It would have been more logical to be at the right side driving position.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that if I’m in UK or Japan doing trackdays, my left hand would probably need to get used to shifting gears, unless I’m driving automatic 😀

Aren’t the gearboxes attached on the back end of the engine possibly making the linkage easier to run too? Around the engine rather than over the top?

It will come out with a coffee table book from Ferrari (not included in set, you need to buy separately) 😲

It joins the Porsche GT3 RS, Bugatti Chiron, Lamborghini Sian amongst Lego Technic’s top of the line (~$400 USD) 😉 Super / Hyper Car price territory also 😗
