It's common among car enthusiasts to collect diecast model cars, I have way too many to mention...
But do any of you enjoy building plastic or resin model kits?

I do. It's a hobby that started when I was a kid, but I continue to enjoy as an adult. This is my latest work, built during the pandemic lockdown. It's the 1/24th scale Mustang GT4 by Tamiya, which I painted to match the livery of my own Shelby GT350.

Another kit from several yeas ago is this 1/24th Porsche GT3R by Fujimi. I was going to paint it metallic black to match my own car, however that seemed a little boring. So I used the Racing Livery that was supplied with the kit. Those decals were a real challenge to work with! But I think it turned out pretty good.

If there are others who are into this hobby, please post! :)

I built and painted many models as a kid. My favorite was the Space Shuttle with its rockets.

Now I enjoy 1:18 diecast models from companies such as Autoart.

I'm considering this 25th Anniversary Countach.

Nice works on those model kits @Mspeedster ! Specially the decals on the Porsche had to be very difficult to apply! ::facepalm2::

I like to collect model cars of my actual cars, including racing versions, like the three (1994, 1995, 1996) 1:18 AMG C-Class (W 202) from Bernd Schneider, my DTM favourite driver ever (5 times Champion with Mercedes)
22AED55E-B6F4-4D66-A2BE-6F08B388E8D0.jpeg

I also made some plastic kits in the past, but my favourite scales are bigger, starting from 1:18, so -like @Hubert - I also tend to collect 1:18 diecast models, from Minichamps, Autoart, and specially loving CMC https://www.cmc-modelcars.de/en

But I want to buy a big metal model kit by LeGrand (probably launched in December 2021) when available: the 1:8 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR “Uhlenhaut Coupé” (1955), my favourite car ever ::love::... so I will have to build a model kit again (more than 700 parts, 8 kgs of weight, 550 mm long... :taunt:) ;)

There are still only pictures from the prototypes at the moment:

The 1:8 is a big one sir @Albert-AMG ! I’d love to have one model in that ratio also ::love:: I’d still probably choose a Toyota 2000GT

My favourite Toyota in front a Land Rover, both in 1:43 scale.

Earlier I had collected endurance racing cars of the late sixties. Not so much
detailed dürfte to 1:43. But at that time they were toys instead of collectors items.

RC Cars! That's a whole category in itself, I've built so many over the years. Here's a few...

I nearly bought that silver 911 instead of the Lancia, but I wanted something 4WD and a little more ground clearance. Have built others in the past, notably Subaru Imprezza rally, Calsonic Skyline, and a couple of the buggy style Tamiyas.

To be honest, I find all the fun in the building. Don't enjoy putting on the decals which despite good intentions I always manage to mess up, and then actually racing them, although fun, they tend to sit on a shelf more. :)

More pics, please! :)
Which scale is it? And which manufacturer?
Tamiya 1/10 RC. (All my RC cars are 1/10th scale.)

Same for me. Except I enjoy detailing the bodies more than building the chassis. I have many different bodies which I've bought separately from the kits.
