Probably too old for the warranty checker. I highly doubt there are any fakes of any Calibre S models as this is an in house TAG Heuer movement so would be pretty hard to do. I have the same watch, great piece!

What is this water pools on the crystal stuff? I've heard that twice this week but never in the last 8 years... is this some sort of urban legend?

From the info I've read so far a way to check the sapphire crystal is real is to put a few drops of water on to it and if it pools its real if it just runs its not sapphire crystal

I was searching for ways to tell fake from real and it is one of the tests you can do, I don't know enough to know what a sapphire tester is .....I went to my local tag store today they couldn't tell me anything so I'm keeping the watch for a week to have a play as it's my first TAG and I am going to send it a way for a service and 2 links. The guy at the store said they will authenticate it and give me a quote on service and anything else ...

If it's fake (which it won't be) they won't do anything to it. But I don't think there are fakes, because there's no cheap movement they could use as a substitute.

Have you figured out how it works yet? It's pretty complicated...

I posted the instruction manual a while back, and I keep meaning to write a post about how it works but I never got round to it. If you need any help with it give me a shout and I'll try and help you.

I hope you can get a good fit on the bracelet, I ended up buying the rubber strap for it because the links are huge and the 'half links' aren't half at all, they are like 3/4 links.

It's cool that they put the setting reminders on the back of the watch, very helpful... :D
