TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 1887 "Exclusive Swiss" https://www.chrono24.com/tagheuer/carrera-calibre-1887-exclusive-swiss--id5763947.htm I never knew this one existed. Ref CAR2151
Even Google never heard of it. Here's the shop carrying it from the previous post: https://rent-a-box.ch/catalog/produ...era-calibre-1887-exclusive-swiss/?___store=en And here's another one: http://www.lesambassadeurs.ch/watchfinder/en/Tag-Heuer/Carrera/CAR2151.FC6291
Has this been featured before? It is quite nice. @Mr_Orange would probably like it. TAG HEUER CARRERA CAR2A81.FC6268
It is quite nice, but I prefer the McLaren 1974 Edition that I have. The silver opaline dial and black registers work really well.
Ah OK. I didn't spot that. How stupid! I think 8 is lucky in the Chinese culture... not sure what it has to do with Switzerland though.
Yes, @elbeik's post preceding my question, since I wonder about the significance of the number 8 that prompted them to make it stand-out on this "Exclusive Swiss" model.
Have you noticed how every official shot of a TAG the date is set to 8? I only noticed when I was doing my Gallery blog... http://tagheuerenthusiastgallery.blogspot.co.uk/
Yes, I asked them a while ago why that was...as you say, every single date is set to 8 in official shots and that's been the case for many years. No-one really knew- but they thought it was simply because there was a nice symmetrical look to the "8"...it's not a nod to the Chinese market.
