What @Mspeedster / Michael stated above. I previously posted a more detailed explanation here.

In direct light it's visible. When it's on the shade it's not that apparent. That is why I think these new glassboxes look their best at a distance and from an observer's perspective.

Yeah, macro-shots are not the most suitable for these new glassboxes.

Ah got you. Yeah I never noticed anything 'off' about it even under close scrutiny so I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder.

Less subjective is the date, which seems to be a little misaligned to the right. We'll see tomorrow whether it's something I'll want to address

For sure. Meanwhile every time I check the time when I'm wearing the Skipper (so far), I admire it a little bit. I much prefer a watch that's fun on the wrist to one that's fun in macro images.
Enjoy! It's super nice.

Can confirm the date is still misaligned today.
It's not shockingly bad. My old eyes can't read the date anyway so I'm not to bothered by it.

This misaligned date on the new glassbox is becoming a thing, and not a good thing. 😒

I agree. I only have the 1 glassbox so hopefully they fix it before the next model.

Mine actually doesn't seem so bad now, but the lighting angle plays funny tricks with it. This is taken standing in the same exact spot, except for the second one I turned about 180 degrees:

I already have a weakness for MOP dial watches. This one is just gorgeous.

Changing it up a little - just mounted my Tag Heuer France Edition on a factory bracelet:

Here's a watch i thought, i would never see in the flesh...wished it was properly numbered and not the one of 500

Not sure if i liked it more than the year of tiger carrera but cool either way

I did a post about this, but it's not up yet. Who the hell is this guy, he doesn't even have a Wiki page?

Some kind of artist. Man I miss the good ol' Monopoly days
