That Merc 36 is nice but 0 feedback and such a low start price, coupled to no paperwork visible kinda worries me, if I bid and won, it would have to be subject to payment on collection and authentification .
Yeah, I would not feel good about this purchase... £14,000 new and it is being sold with four not particularly amazing photos and no feedback. Something stinks. Could be stolen.
Believe ist or not - I actually have a C24 alert set up for these However, as of recently they’ve gone up quite a bit. Too much, actually, to remain a quick “in-between” guilty pleasure (at least for me)… Also, given the dial layout, I wish these had a simple Cal.16 that can be serviced on the cheap. Being locked in with TH whenever there might be something with the 1887 is not that appealing a perspective, IMHO.
I'm indifferent about it. Carbon case is cool, but also used on the Vegas LE. However, Butler didn't even show up at TAG's event for this watch, due to an injury. Bummer. I'm just saying that the H02T Carrera in general seems to be TAG's go to watch for all these very low numbered LEs of late.
I’m just glad Checo has an LE from TAG Heuer It’s still special IMO which also showcases his motto/mantra, “Never Give Up” which is basically a shortened version of what TAG Heuer has “Don’t Crack Under Pressure” Pierre Gasly and Alex Albon didn’t have LEs as far as I know when they were in Red Bull. Also, it was quite seredipitous for Checo joining Red Bull in the right time and got a sweet spot, helping his team and team-mate won the F1 Championship
I know this is picking up an old post - but did TH ever do a watch in this style (the Autavia 02 JH LE), but with a black face and white sub-dials? I really like the 'normal' Autavia 02 (to my jaundiced eye it looks like a nice hybrid of diving and chrono), but I really like the bezel markings on this JH LE. I suppose I could search for a regular Autavia 02 and then try to find a JH LE bezel...... (yeah right!) edit: OK - so the 7736 (?) was like that.... but I don't like that style of body. https://www.chrono24.co.uk/tagheuer...ubber-manual-wind-wrist-watch--id17472055.htm
No they didn’t. Only the silver and white panda with this bezel. I agree this one is the best. I also like the tachy bezel which was only used on the Hodinkee OB.
And I have it from a good source that TAG Heuer no longer ships replacement parts. You need to send them your watch for repairs.
Reassure me, please - this doesn’t apply to (straps and) clasps? As for the bezel discussion: I think they should’ve used a MH (or tachy) bezel on basically all H02 Autavias. Look how the 12h bezel also “killed” the US-only bicompax version:
