Put a buffing cloth down so I don’t scratch it on the table.
This method usually works if you have an ill fitting strap.
Gently tighten clamp till you get the desired lug width

Or if you don't have a clamp, just use a club hammer?

I think I might have made a little discovery. I left the chronograph running all night and the jh85 is keeping better time.
maybe lost 3 seconds in around 12 hours off the wrist.

Yeah, -7.4 seconds per day off the wrist face up chronograph running.
How much does it lose if you don't keep the chrono running?

I forget but it’s something like 20 or more seconds
I looked in my old posts and it was -12secs a day but that’s with wearing it too

That seems a bit much. You should try having the watch demagnetized, it might help.

I demagnetised it with a gadget. No change

My 10 year old caf2010 aquaracer was -16sec a day and it had never been serviced

Did you do it with the watch completely at rest (i.e. no power reserve left)? I've read it's best to do it that way.

No its has far too much power reserve for my patience.

Next time when it runs out, give it a try. Also try placing the watch upside down & right side up on the devise.
