Hope it won’t run slower after using it as it’s already running slow

I hope it fixes it for you, but in all my years of wearing mechanical watches, I've never encountered a timing issue that can be cured with one of those degaussing machines. In reality, it takes quite a bit for a watch to become magnetized. I guess it can happen, but if it doesn't fix it, I'd certainly ask Watchfinder what they can do to help. Losing time can be caused by other problems besides magnetism.

Think mine gets magnetised from me using an iPad or Mac for hours during this damn lockdown(easy sorted) although we did out a bit further for a couple of days over Easter, then woke up to snow this morning.

Apps are all fine but just hold it over a compass. If the needle moves more than let’s say 10 degrees it’s magnetized. With some of mine it goes haywire. Those little tools do the trick for me. I think the iPhone 12 magnetic charging is the main cause of mine getting magnetized. I also have a wifi amplifier in my home office.

I heard a compass works fine yes.
a phone is all I have these days. surprised there isn’t a toilet paper app on there.
i thought it might be dodgy using the phone because like you say it has a magnet inside that can magnetise it.

if you ask me, anything more than 6 is a bit much. but have you really time it with time graph machine ?

Sometimes the only way to know the accuracy accurately is by using time graph.

Not used a graph machine. Just mathematics.
Keep timing it through the day against the exact time clock and it consistently loses .5 seconds an hour

Watch finder say that obviously the warranty isn’t transferable from the guy I bought it from.
That was more like the response I expect from a dealer. Keep up the good work watchfinders
