I've reported it twice now and eBay are doing nothing. Some idiot has bid £700 for it as well...

Also reported. I would hope eBay will get to it eventually.

Hello Forum. First post. Pleased to meet you.
So I am buying a Monaco Cal.12. I really don't know how to spot fakes with these watches.
I can spot a fake Omega of any model blindfolded. But Tags are new to me. I've wanted a blue Monaco for years.
I know it's not the Cal.11, But I can't justify the extra money for the unique crown position and hype.
So the guy is letting it go pretty cheap. $2600 Cash in person.
What do you guys think? Anything fishy? He has the box and paperwork, but no original receipt. He also says the warranty card has no serial number on it. Which seems very odd to me. He says it was a gift bought in Macy's. Macy's is an AD. Why wouldn't the card be stamped?
What do you guys think is a good price?
Here are some photos.
Thanks guys.If I buy it, I'll probably be hanging around here quite a bit.
I posted over at WUS, but no solid responses on authenticity.

@Kewrock looks legit. Warranty cards don’t get stamped, written on etc. for all sorts of reasons. It’s not right, but it happens all the time.
I have a TH watch without the warranty card filled in, and many Mont Blanc items without cards filled in.......especially from duty free.

You can buy warranty cards on eBay that are unmarked, maybe somebody bought it without a box and papers and bought some to increase the value?

The local dealer told me warranty cards are now pointless.
When they record a sale, they register the serial number in the TH portal, and the warranty is active.

There’s also not many companies that won’t ask for your receipt regardless of what your warranty card says.

I certainly don’t see it as an issue really.

Yes, I have purchased several from AD on the last few years and they've left the warranty card unfilled.

Do you guys know why this has black lettering around the display caseback? https://www.chrono24.se/tagheuer/carrera--id4961378.htm

The Calibre11 hands on article shows that it does not have that lettering in big black letters...

https://www.calibre11.com/hands-on-heuer-carrera-calibre-7-gold-glassbox/

Perhaps they are not the exact same model or could it be plastic on the one for sale?
The watch posted in the review is likely a prototype with no back engravings.

They're not black - as in black - just shadows and light contrast.

Well it looks like someone paid £959 for it and eBay didn't remove it - big surprise!

is this authentic?
Not an expert on this older model, but I'd say it's genuine from what I can see. Caseback?

OK guys. I'm back. To say I am addicted might be an understatement. I fell in love with this Pilot chrono. Its from the early 90's so pushing 30 years old. My one question on this is the date wheel. The pics I've seen on the buying guide here have the date wheel in white. This one is black. Did this movement ever come with a black date wheel?

Can't help you with details like that, but I would be surprised if this was fake.
