can any one help?? looking at a Tag CR2111A serial#86358080 does anyone know of this model??

There's a CR21111, but the a only seems to bring up replica sites, I suggest being very cautious.

#86358080

This serial number also does not follow TAG's convention of 3 letters and 4 numerals.

I think you're getting catalogue numbers and serial numbers mixed up. Even then not all TAGs follow that pattern - for example a lot of the new Carreras are three letters one number one letter one number, and some of the old models are two letters and four numbers - for example: WV2112.

Faker than a faked fake.

Looks to be some kind of take on a Kirium and think the reference number they were looking to copy was CL111A.

You are confusing serial number with reference number. WV2112 is a reference number which relates the model of watch. The serial number is unique for each and every watch and the format changes over time.

Now, I'm not sure whether the first run of Monza reeditions followed the ABC1234 serial format, but I don't think 86358080 follows any format TAG ever used.

Pretty sure it's fake. Model number on the caseback is wrong and there seem to be a number of quality issues.

If you type 669.706 into Google images, then you get a different model Tag come up.

Look at the Tag Heuer on the bezel. It looks like it was forged with a screwdriver and painted by hand.

The TAS-HEUER inscription on the mechanism is also, well, not authentic.

from the person i am buying he says tht watch is almost 15 to 18 years old and is not in full zero brand new condition definatly a bit scratches will be on it my concern of making this post was just to have a idea of being having original watch no matter the condition is fine or not

The condition is not the issue. The fact that it's fake and worth about 20p is.

It looks like a cheap knock off, just by looking at the front you could guess. The watch straps don't match the width of the case, product model is wrong, the hour markers look terrible, but the tip of the iceberg is the logo on top of the bezel. That watch is not worth more than 15 bucks.

How much is the "person" selling it for?

He should tell his friend to stop offering him fake watches 🙄

@sykad1 the watch is a terrible fake, and whilst your freind may have had it for all those years it doesn’t make it any less fake.

I expect he picked it up on Holiday for what he thought was a great price thinking it was original (maybe), but it’s not.

The caseback stamping is horrid, the model reference wrong, the bezel finish is grim and the the stamping on the rotor sums it all up.

I'm trying to figure out if this is an authentic Tag Heuer Indy 500. The model number CAC-111A seems to show a similar version but in black. Doing an image search on Google, I could only find one matching watch and it was at a store that sells replicas. Does anyone know if this is real. Trying to decide whether or not to buy. I love the panda face and have a personal connection to the Indy 500.

At first glance it looks fake to me... the bezel looks all kind of wrong and the TAG logo looks a bit shoddy too.
