Is this another one of them classic scenarios where a criminal comes to a forum to check if his fake is good enough to sell or not 馃槖

From whom did you buy the watch and what did you pay?

I don't really agree. I know some other forums have this rule. Perhaps posts encouraging counterfeit timepieces should be prohibited, but generally, I'm not in favour of censorship or rules unless it's proved they're needed. And I don't think we've got to that point yet on Calibre11 yet. Besides, the more rules there are for the forum, the less likely people are to read and obey them. Just offering another point of view.

I鈥檓 all about watches including homage, tribute, and pieces that share the same looks, styles, passions, and the feel of iconic watches but counterfeit products are in the same group as liers and thieves - to protect someone from this I agree but it is something I don鈥檛 want to promote, even unwittingly

But we are a force for good. By sharing eBay fakes we can send multiple reports to eBay and get them taken down. If one person sends a report they don't do anything. Also, we are educating people to spot fakes. Most of the time it's pretty clear to us, but who knows who may come to the forum and pick up something useful.

perhaps a thread or subforum dedicated to educate and protect enthusiasts from fraud would be helpful - I don鈥檛 like them infiltrating the legitimate threads - takes the wind outta my sails for a brief moment and I don鈥檛 like giving that stuff anymore attention than it deserves (lol)

have a good day all - I appreciate everyone鈥檚 input here which makes for a great community

First of all,and how do I know that the watch is faked if I do not post it and you give me your opinion? I thought that this was a page of people who know and collect Tag heuer, second point: criminal? Could you explain to me what you rely on to insult me without knowing me? and third: this watch is not mine, I have been offered as payment for a job and that is why I am interested in knowing whether to accept it or not, because I do not wear or use a watch and I would only be interested in its real value and demand, be it expensive or cheap, false or authentic If I can not sell it, I'm not interested, I hope I have not bothered or offended by my inexperience and my bad English, have all happy holidays

You implied on the other thread you got it for Christmas?

A quick Google will tell you that the Mikrotimer is a $100,000 watch.

my issue is not with enthusiasts, count me in - i feel bad for innocent victims of fraud, my heart goes out to them

my issue is with counterfeit goods and those who make and sell it - goes against all the hard work of inventors, copyrights, patents, intellectual property, etc.

this horse is dead, peace out

Compare it to photos of the real thing and you will see lots of little differences. The most obvious one to me (without being a microtimer expert) is yours has an exposed movement on the front, the real one does not.

perhaps a thread or subforum dedicated to educate and protect enthusiasts from fraud would be helpful

Isn't that what this thread is for?

@Hubert this post should be removed as it showcases a replica and can be misleading for new members or guests browsing the forums.

It is a fake. 100% fake. You have been given links to photos of the real watch.

Posting new photos of the same fake watch, will not change the fact that it is a fake.

Yes, I moved all posts to the authenticity thread. I've done several rounds today.

It doesn't have a specific value because it's not genuine, it will be whatever you could sell it for. Not that you should be selling fake goods, because a) it's illegal (depending on which country you are in) and b) it's immoral. It amazes me that the fakers go to the trouble of making a 'fake' but get it so wrong. First off... why is is in silver case? Why have the exposed movement? Why the date? And most importantly what is the point of faking a watch that can't be faked. See the video I posted on the previous page, your second hand is a second hand - the 'second hand' on the real watch is counting 1/1000ths of a second which is why it's spinning so fast you can't even see it.

So apparently there are fakes being made of the excellent Redbull Racing F1
