That looks dodgy to me. What's going on with the Tag Heuer logo? And why have they used builders screws to screw down the bezel?!
Screws are non-functional 馃榿 , just a gimmick, the bezel is also non-rotating, pressed or glued on.

Thanks for the answe ! so it's a 'frankentag' 馃榾 So I don't think that that will be my first watch since 17 years.. 馃榾
Yeah, run from this one unless its dirt cheap.
Keep on looking at watch auctions, you will learn a lot from it, what is what and all the details of the different models etc, is the best advice I can give you. And if you get stuck about a model, check it in the "Catalogue" section on the front page of this site, calibre11.com, or do a google image search for the model number (like 956.006).
Succes!

Cool sign on the crown, looks like an "Opel" sign, haha.
I have no clue what watchbrand it is though...it is not a Heuer or TAG Heuer crown, that's for sure.

Hey fellow dutchman!
Goedemiddag!
It actually is a pretty rare watch, this is a WI1150, which is basically a later model S/EL with real 18K Gold bezel ring insert and 18K Gold markings on the clasp.
The case lugs are also different from the earlier models, as on this one you can install a normal strap easy.
Nice find!

You are allowed to post the link. But don't. Someone else may jump on it at that price 馃槈

Just got back from a business trip and someone beat me to it. The watch is gone 馃檨

Hi. I am new to the forum, found it while looking for information on how to identify fake tags. I am struggling. Can anyone tell me anything about my recently acquired 2000. I have my doubts.

I'd say it looks genuine. Not sure if the bracelet is original though, need better pics.

The main reason for suspicion is that the bezel doesn't rotate. I thought all tag bezels would spin.

Bezel can get jammed up. I'm not familiar enough with this model to know exactly how the bezel should turn, but I suspect it should turn somehow.

Looks absolutely fine. I suspect the bezel is simply jammed - most likely gunged up and probably needs removing for a good clean up. I think it should be unidirectional.

Thanks very much. Really appreciate your help. I will take it into a shop to get the bezel looked at.

Watch is original.
Do you have a bracelet number on the clasp like 300/3 or 300/81?
The bezel turns only one way, to the left.
It might be stuck because of dirt, but if I look closely to your second picture it almost looks like it is glued on the crystal, could be the case too why it's not turning...

Yes it has 'stainless steel' '301/8' on the inside of the clasp.

Ok, my fault with the 300/, that's the correct number for a midsize 2000 clasp that is on your 2000 972.013.
