Is my TAG Heuer Authentic? All questions here please

Hey guys. So what'd I miss?

lol what the hell is up with that bracelet tho. Is that supposed to be a grand carrera clasp, on a formula? Interesting. Couldn't even do that if you tried, seeing as how the clasps have female ends, while the cheaper formulas have male ends.

next issue is, that bracelet is supposed to be a ceramic center links one. Next, is the bezel, that is also supposed to be ceramic.

So, what your saying is, dont worry if it gets beat up 😁

Hi guys. Newbie here. Checked them on trusted.com and looks fine by cards, by dealer who sold and etc.
called dealer and everything confirmed. Still looks authentic for you or not? Curios about from what year you can check the serial number and warranty card authenticity on the official site if TAG?
Thanks.

Yeah thanks.

I'll try to remove a link and check the pin and barrel as well as the watch back and report here.

A follow up on this. Attaching the photos.
Looks like a real movement though..

That is a real movement. Looks like the bracelet use cotter pins and not pin/barrel so no tell there. Movement is real. So i would say this is a genuine TAG.
My only doubt is that the hang tag looks to be from a fake.

@de157 If those movement shots are from the F1 whose pictures you posted recently, then it has a Rhonda quartz movement that Tag doesn't generally use. Typically one would find an ETA movement in a Tag quartz watch. Now the rhonda is also a swiss quartz movement, and a good one for sure but it is missing some features normally found on Tag Quartz watches, notably the 4 second jump to indicate a low battery. My fake aquaracer had a Rhonda movement. Based on other comments showing bezel irregularities etc, I'd say your F1 is fake.

you're a couple years behind. Every year, they are getting better. Just like serial numbers are almost all now valid and for the correct model. I have multiple fakes with gold ronda movements. Chrono and non chrono. And as far as I can tell, they all that cheap looking white movement holder. And so far, none of them have movement holder screws, but at the same time, the movement posted above, has screws that look nothing like OEM, at least from the angles he showed.

I was looking at those screws… also, that spacer doesn’t look like the solid white or solid black, smooth one that TAG uses. I’ve never seen that, and there are what looks like tooling marks in the plastic??

I stand corrected. That F1 is an obvious fake though.

If I understand correctly, this screw should be like this
yes but also no. The fake AUTOMATICS do have screws, such as that one. Having an automatic movement be loose, will be a problem real quick. Quartz don't have screws because it doesn't really matter.

Have you seen any fake quartz TAGs with screws yet? I want to order a rep at some point to inspect it, but it’s still a chunk of change to spend on something that I despise lol.

A couple of red flags on this one I think. The general rule is that unless you can verify this has come from a genuine buyer who bought from an authorized dealer originally (purchase receipt from a real bricks and mortar AD or boutique), then steer well clear.

Yes this is what we call a very poorly made counterfit product. File a police report against the criminal who is selling this.

Edit: I noticed the Chrono24 watermark on the photos. That site is a mine field with plenty of counterfit watches being listed on a regular basis.

I miss the good old fun days of the CR7 Carrera with the quartz Cal 1887 movement...

I particularly like the windmill at the top and the running seconds dial that's half covered up by whatever that thing in the middle is. Oddly though, I kinda like the design, it just needs some thicker hands...

Hi everyone!
I just bought this Tag 4000 automatic on auction.
Red flag to me that the bezel is not rotating. Or its just stuck? What do you think about it? I hope its not fake.
Thank you for the replies.
