Is my TAG Heuer Authentic? All questions here please

There is an actual Tag Heuer store at a local mall that I was contemplating taking it to, but like you stated - they'd probably send it off to a local watch maker!

a tag store might send to tag. Which is very expensive. Independent shops usually send to watch makers. That's what me and my dad do actually. These stores send it to us.

Where are you located, Jim? We've got two watchmakers we send work to (south-east England) and I'm dabbling (a little more than just watch batteries now) but always worth having other options 😀

I decided I will buy both, the WJ1117 and the SE/L model if we can agree on a price.

Just out of curiosity, what would be the ball park each of these would go for if sold individually, given the condition they are in (lots of swirls, scratches, no paperwork, etc.)? I've checked a few places online just too get an idea but prices seem all over the place!

Might end up selling one of my Movado Luno watches to make room lol!

There's an SEL on a bracelet on C24 for £350, given that yours is midsize (ending in 13 instead of 06) I wouldn't be paying any more than that. The diamond bezel is harder to price, since that watch without diamonds would be much cheaper when new. There's a Link available on EST1897 for about £800 with diamond hour markers, I would say maybe £1200 tops? As you say diamond bezel watches are all over the price, possibly because there's a disconnect between their inherent value and the number of people who want to buy them.

Came across this sale post on FB. I love what they've done with what was supposed to be the CAW211W red dial. Better purple than the OG in my opinion

Came across this sale post on FB. I love what they've done with what was supposed to be the CAW211W red dial. Better purple than the OG in my opinion

Somehow they make the bracelet look good, compared to those on McQueen blue version

The ripped and very unique strap just kills this deal at $500 starting bid. Needing repair too as it's not working. Maybe they can reset that TAG Heuer shield and bezel too and....

Ended up getting both S/EL and the diamond link timepieces for quite a deal. Thanks everyone for your advice, insight, and assistance!

Now to get them cleaned up and serviced!

Not at all. It cost me a set of Callaway golf clubs (bag, driver, 3 hybrid, putter, and some other golf goodies).

Sadly, I rarely play golf anymore - not so much my doing but all my golf buddies are busy with the kids, wives or work. So it cleared up some room in the garage for me and didn't make a dent in my wallet. The guy seems pretty well off anyways (I see him smoking high end cigars) and says he's on his third divorce so at this point I feel the "gentlemen's agreement" was on par.
