However the franken for sale for 4.5k looks like a legit dial.

I told this guy his watch is fake but he absolutely will not believe me. Can someone else back me up here....

 

Tell him to look up a tag heuer 1500, and let you know if that’s what a tag heuer 1500 looks like…

 

Already tried that. Told him it's a bad fake of a SEL but he won't believe me.

 

This watch has been in a draw for 30 years with metal screws in cup screwdrivers and not one scratch! The face is perfect and that is one thing to look for in a good genuine watch. It has all the markings of a genuine watch and is heavy and good quality,It does not feel like a cheap watch it is not junk, I would actually put money on it !

The guy is delusional.

As much as this individual's defence of that watch's authenticity was comical, the reference to their step dad letting them down again saddens me.

I'm honestly not sure if ANYTHING else for this watch was ever made. Didn't we have someone that worked for tag heuer here? I haven't been able to find a single bit of info. And how about the oversized kirium? For reference, it's 28mm. I wonder if I can put it into some other case? I got a ton of parts, just don't have the energy to play around with it right now lol. 28mm is chronograph size, so I guess I could put it into a chronograph case, hahaha.

There are very sophisticated fake products on the market at auctions in Japan.
This seller has been selling fake items quite repeatedly and has been making big sales.
What do you think about these items?

 

Decent quality but one or two tells, e.g. box printing. Are they being sold as fake or passed off as genuine? And are the prices reflective of the fact they're fake? Either way, not to be encouraged.

 

The price is around $900 dollars, which is a little cheaper than the genuine one.
Sales are repeated.
