I don't know why they told you here is fake, it looks exactly like mine. Dials, bracelet, clasp, crown, markers, date marker. The same.

Mine was purcased at the tag shop btw.

Check seller feedback, and wait for more feedback on the watch. If you were to ask me i'd say it is real

Perhaps @Calibre11 can chime in and give you his 5 cents

That plastic wrap is typically a dead giveaway for these fakes. Also, seeing as how the warranty card was stamped by the store, that implies they are a dealer, and therefor the serial number WOULD show up in a search on TH website. I wouldn't touch that watch with a 10 foot poll.

Well, it seems like always.. either take the risk and pay less, maybe be lucky.. or don't take the risk and pay more.
My problem is I'm really not an expert about these model and I found some genuine and good fakes quite fast on the internet for about 100-200$. Means it seems easy to get a quality fake and still earn like 500-700$ by selling it, and many people wouldn't even recognize.
Only way to make it sure is to go to a TH specialist who opens the watch. But then nobody gonna take it back anymore, even if it's fake.

I checked the rating, they are 4,5-5 star. But the company only sells since 2020, so it's still young.
I guess I rather spend 300-500 Euro more and make sure it's a genuine TH then spending 600-800 and save money but risk it to be a fake. Hard choice tho, since we all are looking for a real bargain.

Yes it is easy to buy fakes and earn $100's each and many people don't recognize them.

As far as taking it to a TH specialist. What's a TH specialist? A dealer? Because assuming they'd even be willing to open it, the only thing they'd see inside the watch, is a movement that is in real tag heuer watches. Nothing special about the movements anymore. Anyone can buy one for like $20 a piece.

If James says its fake, it is fake.

Why save 300 and live with the voice in your head forever saying "I wonder if it might be a fake".

Ebay, Amazon and other shitplaces are filled with filthy criminals scamming people. Avoid buying luxury goods from these nasty sites.

'Real' bargains are hard to come by, unless you are looking at older, unpopular models. Aquaracers and F1s are the scammers go to pieces...

hey hey hey lol, I do not give my fake stamp of approval here. Just providing my very strong opinion, with what little information was provided to me. I'm not very good with it comes to Formula 1's and need box pics and seller account to make any definitive decision. But I'm comfortable enough to say I'd never touch this one.

It's been said over and over and over again, and again, and again! The fake TAG's of today, especially the F1 and AR series, look very close to the real ones. Even the movements can appear to be correct (Ronda), and we've even heard of AD's and TAG Heuer Customer Service failing to recognize fakes. Also, the presence of a serial number on TAG's warranty site does not equate to authenticity, as the we know that scammers sometimes use a real serial number on multiple fake watches.

The best advice here is buy the seller, or purchase from an AD. And if @jamesbizs says its fake - its fake! LOL. If @jamesbizs recommends to stay away, stay away. Yes he has a strong opinion, but he's usually correct.

Ok guys, so I will stay away from this one. Make sense to avoid it. Glad you helped me with this decision, thanks to all of you!
I will buy the watch (actually a different model, just fall in love with the CAZ101AB) now on a different website from a German shop who have a network of official TH traders. Grey market tho, but watch should be new and come with official TH warranty and card and stamps and legit serial numbers. Savings are like 15% I guess, not amazing, but better then nothing. Here it would be around 50% almost 😁

By the way, about Amazon: if you buy from a third party seller, you have the risk of getting a fake. Can I make the assumption that all watches who are sold from Amazon directly and itself, are 100% original? So I can order without worries there?

Honestly, would you trust Amazon to buy only directly from 'authorized' channels? I wouldn't.

Not long ago there was a case of a supermarket in the US selling fake TAGs, can't remember which one... or a cash n carry maybe?

Well, at least I would trust Amazon more then any third party seller 😁
Maybe they get better discount because they're a big player, who knows .. direct contact to the manufacturer.. can't imagine Amazon really still search to buy small leftovers somewhere from a grey market..

Yes I vaguely remember this, it was that place Americans go to buy anything. Its cheap and sells everything, I have seen it on Modern Family I think.

I think the only thing we can trust is for these companies to want to maxize their profits and if someone offers them a good deal on 'absolutely super genuine TAG Heuers' they will probably accept and gladly sell that shit.

I don't think Amazon sells Tag Heuer directly? And yes, very good chance you'll get a fake from amazon third party sellers as well. And walmart third party sellers. I have a few from both sources.

My dad worked for a company that provided watches to one of those big places. And yes, they were grey market, and could easily have been fakes if they really wanted to do such a thing. My dad also had to clean up or even FIX these brand new watches, before they were shipped out.
