thankfully they are still too stupid and or lazy to make perfect fakes. They still make more than enough money, clearly, so they just don't care. And no one is stopping them.

If I were in charge of making fakes...... man, you'd all be screwed hahahha.
FIFY.

Was there not a rumor when you joined the forum that you were one of the world's biggest manufacturer of fake watches, hence you "happened to know" so much about them 馃槈

lol well, it felt weird to say "you'd", because of how involved i am with the tag community, both socially and financially. But yeah, I guess if I were making that kinda money, and was morally ok with doing so, lol i wouldn't be included in the " we're screwed" camp.

Second try....this one has got to be genuine! Thanks to Aquagraph and Tom at TH in Bicester. This was the last new item on Tags books and Tom sourced it from a boutique in Germany!

And thanks to Jamesbizs for spotting my first purchase from eBay was a fake, money all recovered.

I'd need better pics, to say one way or another. But it does look good, and the providence is much better

I don't think a Tag boutique would be sourcing replicas!
Definitely not! If you got this one via Tom in Bicester you can sleep good at night knowing you have the genuine thing. Congrats on a super cool watch 馃憤

Great news! Really pleased for you Triple G, took me ages to find mine and to be honest I am quite astonished that they managed to find you one. Always worth asking the question. 馃憤

Do you think the watch in this picture is genuine?
This item has two warranty cards and I feel like this one is fake. What do you think?

Also, please tell me the reason why you think it is fake.

This item is listed on a Japanese auction site.

Cheers Aquagraph, I also purchased a ft6142 strap as per your blog, however I'm VERY nervous of scratching the pvd on the lugs. Any tips?

I'm no expert but after my recent experience of a very similar model the lume dot looks off and the two clips on the underside of the clasp I don't think should be pvd coated. This is what helped me spot my purchased as a fake. Should be two silver balls!! As per my second pic.

Could be lighting/photos but the colours don't look quite right to me and overall quality looks a bit off. The lume pip is also not looking correct but would be nice to see a close-up. Two warranty cards also raises suspicions as you say.

Isnt the colour of the lume an obvious tell that this is a fake? The hands and indices should match in lume colour.

What's scary, is that they have different numbers engraved on the back, and different serials as well. And the box now appears to be real. It's the same fake way218b that i posted earlier. that I posted earlier.

Here is another one.

And awesome spot on the stainless steel clasp nibs. Mine was the older clasp that didn't have the nibs.
