Hello All, I am completely new here and I was looking for peoples opinions on the authenticity of this watch. We found it a few days ago whilst we were clearing out my late grandma's house but we have no idea where it came from or the history as no one can recall ever seeing it before. from what i can work out through the internet its likely to be from the 90's? My granddad died in 1994 so we don't think it was his. its not working but i understand this is a quartz battery operated watch? Anyway interested on peoples opinions, its clearly not been worn a huge amount and feels very sturdy and well made.

I love how they always say " I'm selling it for this price because I'm not sure it's real". Yeah, ok. Because taking it to a store to confirm it's real, and making an extra $1000, is totally a hard thing to do.

Hello everyone, i am new here, found this forum while i was looking for answers concerning a watch that was gifted to me years ago (min 5y). I was wondering if anyone here could tell me more about the authenticity of this watch? if it is even an existing legit model. Haven't been able to find this model in any of the TH catalogues (browsed 2008 till 2016).

Looking forward to your opinions!

Thank you all in advance!

/R

Ummm, sorry but.... that doesn't even require much thought. It's fake, there is no TAG Heuer that looks like that. Sorry.

I was going to say, maybe that it was a genuine dial in a fake case, but on closer inspection the date is in the wrong place so no it's total garbage.

Thing is, they've obviously gone to some trouble with that watch. The dial looks quite convincing. They have signed the crown. And it seems to have a retty good TH clasp on the strap. Why then, put it in a strange-shaped case that looks nothing like a genuine Tag Heuer? 😵‍💫

Really makes you wonder, why go through so much trouble and cost to produce such shitty thing?
