    Don’t know about rusty but it was one of two Monacos McQueen kept from Le Mans and gave to his trusted mechanic. Claimed to have been kept in a safe for a long time and in pristine condition but the case was obviously polished. Lost are the sharp edges.

    ^Ha ha, I suppose this record breaking auction will have a trickle down affect on all 1133Bs. But $80k? I realize it's NOS, but the really cool & unique Monaco D'Art sold for $81k. GLWS...
