Hello All

I'm hoping some kind soul, either someone who knows or someone with a Camaro 7220t and a set of callipers can help. My 7220t has a service crown and service hands. Looking to get the crown replaced first, with a correct one, and first stop is to work out the size. I believe it should be 6.7 x 3mm, but could someone confirm please?

Thanks in advance!

And because photos always help...

Don’t have a 7220t but do have a 7220nt, which I believe is all original (except crystal). Given they are all part of third execution I would think they should have same crown. Hope this helps.

As an aside, does any one know of a good vintage Heuer watchmaker/specialist?

I have never used them but have read in multiple places that Abel Court is very highly regarded for vintage Heuers - http://www.heuertime.com/?lang=eng&p=home

That said your watch has a valjoux 72 in it so not sure there is anything special with having it serviced by a Heuer specialist and any good watchmaker should be able to handle it. It is the later chronomatic movements where I think getting a good Heuer specialists makes the most sense.

Does that Abel Court link work for anybody else? I have only managed to get a page header with no content for several months - thought the site was dead. Links and login don't work for me.

Regarding watchmakers, where are you based @khanmu? @SteveP recommended me Richard Askham http://thewatchspotblog.com/ for Heuer the other day. UK based.

Yup didn’t even realize it was dead. Think he has an Instagram page.

Hello All

Sorry for the delay in replying - @Redwes25 thanks for the link to Abel, I will message him and also try instagram. Also @imagwai I am in the UK, given all the Brexit border mess at the moment, I might try Richard Askham first!

Thanks everyone for all your help - hopefully will be able to post photos of a more correct looking 7220t in due course!

one other person to try in the UK would be Stefan Stefansson #ursmidur. Vintagewatchfever.co.uk Done some nice work for me on Heuers where replacement parts were needed.

Rich is unlikely to have any parts unfortunately but can certainly service it for you. 👍
