Hi,

I have a 1983 Heuer 200 Professional, which I hadn't used for years. I had the batter replaced only to find the watch has stopped working. It has huge sentimental value to me and I would love to get it fixed...Problem is I'm living in Indonesia at the moment but I'm happy to send it anywhere for repair. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks JohnBailey

Can't help with a repairer, but that's a nice watch in superb condition and definitely worth getting fixed.

Nice ladies sized Great Grey.

I'm not sure on what movement that is fitted as can't recall which had the brown circuit board, but if you can get a magnifying glass and look at the movement you should be able to find the ESA/ETA number. Example 955.112.

Then you have the option of getting either a New Old Stock movement or the latest replacement movement for it, depending on if you want to keep the internals as original as possible. Then any decent watch shop that has a watchmaker should be easily able to swap the dial and hands over to the new movement.

I've used a recommended guy in Northern Ireland to service two of my quartz Heuers and very happy with the work and costs only £50 or so. Great work, strips them down completely with photos and has a lot of experience with Heuer watches. I'm in Dubai so also face similar issues for quality servicing. Drop me a message if you want to contact him and try and sort something out. You could also drop David (Calibre11) a message and see if there's anyone he knows closer to Indonesia, as he is in Australia.

Wow...thanks for the response. I'd love to contact the guy in Ireland. It would be nice to keep as original if possible. But I'd rather it be useable than sitting in a drawer. Will drop you a message.
