I don't want to go too far off-topic, but I really don't know what the way through this is for the watch companies. The minute after they sell an LE in a small run, you can find quite a few examples put onto eBay or other at inflated prices, which ruins it for the true collectors. I think we all agree on the problem...but I don't know what the solution is. Let me set up a new topic (here) , as I'd love to hear what people think...

Just got word my "Dark Star" (Love the name by the way) is on its way.... Can't Fedex fly those dam planes any quicker.
Not looking forward to the $650 NZD in import taxes though馃檨馃檨

Los Angeles. Scheduled for delivery tomorrow evening. But from the looks of UPS's tracker, I dunno.

It's hopping around the world like Jason Bourne.

This is one of the best parts of getting a new watch though isn't it. That anticipation of its arrival.
This is my first non Heuer watch I have ever bought, excluding Mickey when I was 5, so this is a bit of a watershed moment for me.
I am so connected to Heuer and have been for 20 years that I actually have a small part of me feeling like I'm
Playing around with a mistress 馃槻
But in all seriousness, it was the connection with the Heuer Bund and the story behind the watch which made me press "Buy"
I'm a sucker for a good story.

Good luck with the delivery tomorrow.

(Almost) Same here! My only other brands from adulthood are the Apple Watch and a Casio G-Shock.

Oh forgot my Apple Watch... Me too. I Left my Heuers in the safe for two years while wearing the Apple Watch.
I missed not being able to change my watch with my moods and the history of the brand.
Since going back, I've kind of gone ballistic on growing my collection.

David, as we are in the same city, they could have put them in the same box and sent them as one.
Maybe we would only have to pay one lot of taxes 馃榾)

I requested one too, but it shipped the next day after my email en route to almost the entire eastern hemisphere -- so likely didn't happen.

PS, mine has arrived in Los Angeles via Kentucky via Japan via Alaska via the universe + cleared customs + included a $70 import fee -- and is now awaiting delivery 2 miles from my house but stuck in purgatory until the 4:30pm PST local UPS crew shift shows up for work.

But I know already the eBay listing was removed, so that the seller could do it elsewhere. He's awaiting payment already. 馃檨
