Offering for sale my mid-1970s Heuer Carrera, reference 1153BN known as the 'Yachting' due to its 5-minute subdial markings, not found on any other Carrera model of the period. This one is also further distinguished by its beautiful blue sunray dial and black subdials.

The watch is in good wearable condition - it has some marks on the case that I have photographed in some very harsh light, but that don't stand out as much on the wrist. It's definitely not a safe queen! The lume has aged to a very pleasant yellow on the hour marker inserts and H/M hands.

The watch is all original with its proper fluted pushers and signed crown. Model and serial numbers are barely visible between the lugs but are quite worn out as is fairly common with these Carreras due to the placement right where a bracelet end link would rub against it.

The movement is keeping excellent time and is very clean. Chronograph starts, stops and resets properly. Slightly sticky start/stop button action but never fails to work; the reset action is as crisp as it can get. Caseback seal is in very good shape too.

The watch is sold on the Veblenist strap pictured here, which I had custom-made with an orange lining to match the chrono hand and subdial markings.

I'm asking US $6000 which will include worldwide express shipping, fully insured with ParcelPro. The watch is located in New York and can be delivered in person to a public, secure location of your choice. I can accept a return for it only if it is not as described; please consider the photos to be part of the description.

I'm a private collector and enthusiast, not a dealer. I only sell watches when I'm not wearing them enough and think someone else would enjoy them more; I do not do this for profit. Over the years though I have sold a few watches to other members of the watch community and you can find lots of feedback here on OF through the 'Seller Profiles and Reviews' page: link.

Thanks so much for looking, and please do feel free to reach out to me with any questions or requests for more photos!
