Found Three Early 70’s HEUER watches.

My father worked for Champion Spark Plugs and they must have done a promotion with HUER in the early 70’s. I have found in an old briefcase filled with CHAMPOIN memorabilia two brand new boxed HUER watches. They worked but didn’t keep time so I sent them to TAG HEUER who kept them almost a year and got them back. Gave them to my two adult sons from my dad for Christmas. Mine took over a year and does not have a CHAMPION logo on them. Couple things went wrong when I got the two CHAMPION WATCHES back from TAG HEUR, but there’s nothing I can do about that. Anyone ever seen CHAMPION branded HUER watches? I also have a box of stop watches branded HUER.

Too cool! I have seen them before posted on Instagram. Post some photos if you can! Would love to see the stopwatches.

That's awesome! Those are very cool Heuers.

I am curious, what issues did you have when you got them back from Heuer?

Unfortunately they came back with new bands not the original HUER bands. Maybe they thought they were doing me a favor, but they were brand new and I think someone pocketed them. When I sent mine in, I took it off and put a replacement on it.

Here’s a third that isn’t new out of the box, but keeps time. Anyone tell if that an original band?

Very cool examples. And a great story.
Not convinced it’s an original band
