Hi. I'm an iPhone user but went out and purchased a cheap android tablet to load watchmaker pro and some faces to my watch. If I now pair it with the iPhone do I lose all the faces I have loaded to the watch?

As the thread says, post your favorite watchfaces!

To get the following watch faces, you need to have your watch paired with an Android Phone or Android Tablet and the WatchMaker App.

I use WatchMaker Premium, but they also make a free version.

Then you'll need to join the Google+ WatchMaker communities to find fan-made creations.

https://plus.google.com/communities/105639097153515068851

Once your part of the Communities, from your Android Phone or Tablet, search for TAG HEUER, HEUER, or any brand of your choice. I don't keep any links.

Once you find suitable watch faces, use the DROPBOX links to download them into the WatchMaker app on your Android phone or tablet.

Using the WatchMaker app, you can select them on your phone, to have them install on your watch.

Just remember that if you switch back to the official TAG Heuer dials, your watch needs to be set to run the WatchMaker app to be able to see the custom faces.

Unfortunately if you have an iPhone, I don't believe these instructions will currently work. However there is hope, as it is rumored that as part of the next major AndroidWear release later this year, the watch will be able to have stand-alone apps.

Hope this helps.

Hi Miguel,
In recent times, the Watch Maker policy has changed due to copyright reasons, so brand-specific watchfaces have been removed by most users. You can still find some out there, so your best bet is to search the community.

Welcome and congratulations on the new watch. The WatchMaker community has indeed banned replicating many brands. However, with a little patience, and searching for certain keywords, you might still be able to find many of the ones posted before on this forum.

The screen quality has always been my number one complaint of GEN1. I really hope GEN2 will be OLED or equivalent. As far as improved iOS connectivity, that should be resolved by Android Wear 2.0, which will allow stand-alone apps.
Now, getting the "banned" manufacturer watchfaces is tricky. I am sure there are some links out there, but you can't get "search" for them anymore directly from the WatchMaker G+ communities. 🙁

I've read OLED is unlikely due to battery drain but they do seem to be making out that something has been done to make it clearer. I'm sure some patient digging will bring up some faces.

I would agree with you. Hopefully the display in GEN2 will be on par with "best in class" offerings from other Android Wear competitors.

I won't hold my breath to receive the update on the 15th, but hopefully we'll see it in the near future.
EDIT: Other sites have confirmed the rollout dates will vary per manufacturer.
Google told WIRED Android Wear 2.0 will be available on the new LG watches from February 10 and the software is rolling out to other flagship Android smartwatches from other manufacturers "soon." The exact release dates depend on the individual manufacturers.
