Bummer. Problem is occurring on iOS version of watchmaker apparently. The desktop link I posted earlier also crashes when it tries to load the face "null pointer exception"

If I could only tie my work email/calendar to an android phone I'd ditch this POS iPhone 8 and get a Pixel...

Try downloading the file first using the Dropbox or the browser and then opening it later in WatchMaker. Worth a try.

So I've been reading up on OLED displays and image burn in as it relates to ambient mode. This is one of the main reasons why the stock Tag watch faces feature a skeleton-like ambient mode. Something to think about while designing watchmaker faces. I've made adjustments to ambient mode on my derivative calibre 5 watchface to support this:

True for the Connected 41 and 45. The one I have is the Connected 46, this one uses an LCD display which is not suspect to burn in. So I prefer watchfaces that have a "full featured" ambient mode.

The reason for a skeleton watchface on OLED isn't solely related to burn in, but also to save battery life. On OLED, fewer lit pixels means less battery usage.

LCD doesn't make a difference between bright or dark pixels battery-wise, which allows for bright / white ambient mode watchfaces without hitting the battery more than dark ones. See the attached photos for active and ambient mode of the same watchface.

working on my custom watch face. Ambient mode shown. I race sailboats so this update launches a sail-race countdown timer when I tap @ 12:00 and a split timer app for those close finishes when I tap @ 9:00.

This watch may be the only smartwatch tough enough for the fore-deck of a NM36 馃榾
