·Hi all,
Thank you for allowing me to join this forum, I've been reading it for awhile and have been very impressed by members knowledge for everything tag.
This is my first post on here and sorry it is a little negative.
I have a caz1010 which is my first proper watch and I love it but I've been having a few issues. I purchased the watch at the tag stall at the 2016 goodwood festival of speed.
Around November time I noticed that the chronograph arms didn't line up with top. I waited till after Christmas rush and then posted it back to the uk service centre for it to be corrected. After about 5/6 weeks I got my watch back. No problems and worked great till June and the chronograph arms went out of alignment again. Not sure why as I try to take extreme care of my watch. I'm not able to wear it all the time so when I've got it on it feels really special. I sent it back to tag service centre on the 11th of June and received it back on the 21st of July. While it was there they corrected the movement, performed in their words an extended test for just under 2 weeks and as a form of goodwill gave it a polish. When I got the watch back I gave it a once over and it functioned /looked great. Felt like a brand new watch again.
I wasn't able to wear the watch for over a week due to work etc so last Sunday was the first time I wore the watch since its return when i noticed the watch had stopped on the 27th at 9:15. The chronograph timer worked when i pressed it and reset correctly but the 3 o'clock second dial wasn't moving. I unwound the crown , unclicked then re clicked and wound it back in and the watch started working again and has been ever since.
I contacted Tag uk and they adviced to sent it back again to be checked. This is where I'm not sure on what to do because they seem to take ages to turn the watch around and get it back to me. In the 12 months of my owning the watch it had spent nearly 3 months of them at the service centre. It wasn't until the end of its second visit I was informed by customer service that I could have corrected the problem myself.
So my questions are
Do I send it back again and not have my watch for a month or so ?
Or just keep an eye on my watch to see if it fails again.
Sorry for the long post, I'm just unsure on what to do. I love my watch but just can't face sending it back again for the 3rd time in 13 months. I'll be honest it has given my doubts about purchasing another watch from tag which is a shame as there are some stunning timepieces out there.
Does anyone know if i can contact anyone with TH / lvmh uk regarding my problems? I did ask on the phone but wasn't given an answer.
Many thanks Jon
