Carrera Chronograph, Changes to dial?

Hello,
I just received my new 42mm Carrera Chronograph. The jeweler, who is an authorized dealer, mentioned they had received the watch in inventory in August, so it's fairly new production. I've noticed that the dial does not have the Caliber 02 - 80 Hours script at the bottom of the dial which appears in every review and photo I've seen of the watch. I know that nearly every reviewer criticized this text and the watch was first released in 2020 so perhaps there has been a running change but even the pictures on the TAG site have the script.
Has anyone seen this change/discrepancy before?

Your date wheel looks very misaligned, is it just the angle of the photo or does the date display that much off centre?

My wife bought me the 42mm Carrera Chronograph for Christmas direct from the TAG Heuer website. Like yours, on the website page the watch face has the Heuer 02 80 hours on it, yet the watch I received does not. Personally I think it looks better with out it.
On the watch movement it has " TAG HEUER TH20-00 THIRTY THREE (33) JEWELS. Hope that helps.

If you visit a boutique you will most likely see a mixture as the new and old stock are mingled. They are the same price so probably better to pick up the new version as the rotor winds the movement in both directions.

Plus it doesnt wobble like crazy, sounding like it will break at any second

Thank you for the responses.
1) The date is perfectly centered in the window. It appears a little off only in the photo.
2) Yes, I had noticed that the shield design is a little different as well.
3) This concerns me: The movement on my watch does not say TH20-00, rather CAL HEUER 02 on the rotor and only Thirty-Three (33) jewels on the perimeter of the movement. The rotor is uni-directional which is a bit annoying.

Nostromo - Alien fan. 😎

Or just an Italian seafarer - nostromo is Italian for 'shipmate' or bosun.

Or could be a Joseph Conrad fan -the guy who wrote 'Heart of Darkness' (which was popularly adapted into 'Apocalypse Now') wrote a novel called Nostromo which was basically about capitalist exploitation of workers and was the inspiration for the ship's name in Alien.

Actually both: I've read Conrad's Heart of Darkness, Lord Jim, Secret Sharer and Nostromo. I was surprised when I first saw Alien and Aliens and the ships were the Sulaco and Nostromo. Along with Blade Runner, they're among my favorite sci-fi films.

So I've been doing some checking, and it seems the 39mm and some 44mm Carreras have the TH20 movement. I prefer the steel bracelet, so the only movement is the 02 in the 42mm case, which is what I have. Will this be transitioned over? I should think so, which raises the question of seeing if I can return this one and wait and see? I keep my mechanicals for a long time so having the new movement (if only for the sake of the bi-directional rotor) would be nice.

I think most people here are glad they've gotten rid of the footer. Most of us found it to be an eye sore.
