Yeah it's pretty bright, but I like that. I don't like the strap, mine lives on a rubber strap now. Others tell me you have to wear it for three weeks to soften it up, but that's never gonna happen! 😁
I agree. The Orange Breitling Superocean drew my attention in the window of my local AD, which then meant I found the Orange F1.

I also love the Gulf F1, but a mate and colleague bought that recently and don’t want to spoil it for him as we would be wearing it at the same workplace when back in. Lovely piece though.

I have found a fantastic deal on the Orange F1, which makes other options seem silly. Just need to decide today. lol

Would mean a rubber strap purchase wouldn’t be out of the question, if I found it was needed.

No, I don't have that one actually, I have the older grey 500M version (WAJ1111) which is also 43mm but very chunky. I like that one though, that's the 41mm version though. It comes in quartz in 41mm and Calibre 5 in 41mm and 43mm (IIRC). I am normally an advocate for quartz, but they Calibre 5 has the slatted dial...

Apologies, I thought I saw a post last month where you got it. No worries.

That WAJ1111 is cool, fair play.

I am definitely drawn to the slatted dials, no doubt about it, although do also like the smooth clean plain white on this one too.

It is 41mm as you say. Not averse to that or the 43mm, but just trying to keep the cost down on this one.

Would need to change to a rubber or nato strap.

Are you buying from an AD?
I am shopping around online, but both options are AD’s, yes.

Yeah I think AMJ are sound. They have done special watches with TAG in the past (Mason's Carrera).

Similar to being drawn to the Nightdiver. I have seen a Quartz version of it which looks lovely too, but the price difference between that and the Orange F1 is a tough one. I get that it’s Titanium, so that’s where the difference lies. Tricky one.

I’ve got the old quartz night diver and absolutely love it, very striking watch, but it’s marmite and you really need to try it on.

Symmetrical, but with a whole lotta nothing going on at the top of the dial...

apart from the tag logo and the skeleton stuff? Not sure if the space is an issue, would need to see it in person

I have no doubt that I will love the Quartz version, after seeing the Automatic one. Prefer the slatted dial, if pushed, but is that alone worth the £900 as this will be a daily.

That and the quartz movement will be reliable, the Cal 5..... might not.

Indeed. That long thread did put me off a touch.

I just want to say “You’re welcome!” to the person who got a nice deal, as it’s now sold this afternoon. Coincidental, I think not…

Wasn't me!

Wasn’t suggesting you specifically. Was just tongue in cheek.

I just had a feeling that it would sell, after posting the link. No biggie.

On the other hand, you shouldn't rush into things just to save a few quid...

Exactly. When posting the link I thought, if someone buys it as a result, then it’s not meant to be.

Still thinking about the Orange F1. That’s the only one I need to pull the trigger on today, if I want the deal.

It comes in just under the £1k, so nice price in fairness.

Yeah that's a good price I think. The rubber strap (from other models in the range like the carbon/yellow) is about £130 for your info.
