It seems to me like TAG Heuer are regressing to their scatter gun approach of the pre-JCB days.
From what David's said it's maybe clear that the Autavia GMT hasn't really been 'released', and as such maybe they didn't intend to launch the three hander Autavia with such a divisive (let's go with divisive because Otto likes it) model. Perhaps there was some intention to launch with a simple three hander we haven't seen yet that's more in keeping with the general retro aesthetic.
On the other hand.... if this watch is under embargo why hasn't David asked for it to be removed?
I'm really surprised by the direction they have taken. Seems to me it may get lost in the crowd even within tags own range let alone compared to other gmt releases.
There was surely a better place to start from.

This one is a pretty shameless product placement video (or shall we better call it a commercial?) from their part!
For anybody wondering about the price, it will be $8,100 USD.
Insane price 馃槻
Just going back to this comment about the somewhat scattergun approach of the models this year, and I couldn't agree more - the range doesn't really hold together for me, and there is confusion between the vintage style and modern pieces, too much diversity within a model name (especially Carrera which is on both, as well as the Connected and now made worse with the 3-hand Autavia).
Don't know why, but what came to mind to me was this clip from the Simpsons for some reason. As if Tag had mixed up all the possible combinations and design features or all their watches and then randomly fired it at the page a few times and released what came out.
I鈥檓 going to reserve full judgement on the Autavias when there is more details. As DC said, they look likely to be released later in the year officially whereas these shots appear to have slipped out on social alone.
Like the previous pre-release Autavia, they look a bit concept pre-production (dial tone, white date window). I imagine they might change or be refined before release.
