OT: David, I have a feeling I will be at the TAG Heuer booth around 12:00-13:00 tomorrow if all goes to plan (Plain, train, hotel, etc.) would you still be at Baselworld then or already preparing to go back home?

No, not the Jack Heuer Carrera- black accents rather than anthracite. Hear there will also be a black dial/ silver sub model

Ah, I'll just miss you! I'm on a 12.00 flight out of Zurich. Next time...

Interested to see the black dial version, but I already said I sold my JH80 because the case was too thick. If I still had it, though, I would be more than a little miffed at the silver-dialed variant being so similar. It may have black accents but I couldn't tell on first look.

Well, at least that proves that it's not likely that future Tagheuer is for me.
It leaves me wondering what the planned modular Aquaracer would look like and if it iw to share this new direction, then would a more classic style dive watch turn up in the Heritage collection?
Is that what they're saving the compressor Autavia cases for?
I wouldn't mind an 844 re-edition either.

Yes! That's what I've looking for. Hope we can see the black dial/silver sub model soon!

I reckon it will look like this (this is last year's blue):

The outer surrounding concave color, where the Tachymetre scale is printed, is also different when compared to the JH80.

Also caught up with Christoph Behling yesterday- lovely guy. He's been the main designer for TAG Heuer for years now and confirmed that he also designed the Carrera Heuer-01. He felt that the modular aspect of that design now made more sense given there is now a range of these watches out there- so you get to see the benefits of being modular (i.e. that new models can be efficiently produced only changing a few parts).

We also talked about the size increase on the Monza. He felt that given the sporty nature of the new design relative to the more classic/ conservative design of the 2000 Monza, the larger size made good sense.

Did you inquire about smaller sizes for the calibre Heuer 01 watches? Is 43mm the smallest they will go?

Y'know, the black-and-gold scheme works on that surprisingly well, but it still looks like a reject from a Transformers movie

I thought Mr. Biver said the name Heuer will be reserved to actual reeditions??
