Is that the blue one? I see that blue Carrera which is seemingly being sold as a Ladies model, but it's very smart and big enough for most men.

What? The 41 is sold as a ladies model?

It's the day/date 41mm https://www.tagheuer.com/en/watches...day-date-automatic-watch-41-mm-war201a-ba0723

I would prefer a date only model but 39mm might be too small. There is a blue one, I wasn't aware this this was a ladies model, nothing I can see that would indicate that. Either way it looks nice enough that I would consider it despite the fact that I was originally looking for a rugged watch with a bezel or a divers watch that would look good on a nato.

I think I might have been getting mixed up with the 39mm

Everyday is a school day, I thought the day/date calibre 7 and calibre 5 were all the same size.

I was actually considering that one. I did not realize it was a 39mm and had been looking for a 41mm version of it earlier today.

I thought that was available in 41 but I mistook it for this https://www.tagheuer.com/en/watches...day-date-automatic-watch-41-mm-war201c-ba0723 looks too much like a Daniel Wellington with all the rose gold.

The Cal 7 has more interesting color variants but I like the plain black cal 5 with silver accents. I need to see this in person, the TH website shows it to be a brushed finish but youtube vids and live pics show it as more of a polished watch.

In person the Calibre 5/7 is polished.

It's nice. I did not think I would seriously consider it as it's really not what I was looking for and I day date complications. I was really just looking for another excuse to try the Aquaracer again but the blue dial Carrera is really quite stunning in person. It reminds me of an Aqua Terra I had in my possession over 10 years ago when a visiting relative left it at our house. I wore that watch for 8 months straight, scratched and scuffed it up good before returning it to it's rightful owner. I've been thinking about getting one for myself or maybe a cheaper alternative. I don't recall coming across one that reminded me of it so much until now.

They also had the WV211M, older 39mm variant which is a slightly sportier look and the size doesn't seem so bad.

The way211c was there too, it didn't seem like such a bad fit today either...
