That Monaco rattrapante makes a pretty epic halo piece. So glad to see movement legend, Carole Forestier Kasapi helming TAG Heuer's movements now. Just shows how serious the brand is about proper watchmaking. Definitely looks good for TAG Heuer for the average muggle.

I was lucky enough to ask Carole on a private online preview of the Only Watch Split-second Monaco last year; "how long till we see a regular production split-second chronograph?" She told me it may take years to make it to mass market but making it in limited numbers was already possible. I guess, this is the reason these Monacos are limited and priced accordingly. They are limited right? A lot more hand finishing than I had expected too.

Apparently only 20 in each colour.

The blue rattrapante is quite cool. I think the Panda would go better with a black leather strap with red stitching.

I think the same.

I don't want to spoil anyone's singular moment, but this has got to be the worst looking Monaco EVER.

Did no one look at this and think, it looks like it has droopy eyes?

Is it just me or have a lot of other brands started using TAG Heuer's Glassbox design this year?

So far I've seen it on the new IWC Portuguesers and a very similar crystal on the new JLC Duometres.

The good thing is that I can now save my money for this year to buy pre-owned pieces.

If those subdials were slightly closer together then they wouldn't foul the flange and that would look a bit better.

I really hope the WOTY has not been seen yet, because nothing really deserves it at this point

I knew it would look better on the black perforated from the Reverse Panda.
I'm on the lookout for something with red stitching

Get them custom made. I got some nice straps made from a couple of different guys in Australia. One does rally straps on kangaroo leather - that would be awesome.
