Some US Boutiques have begun pre-sales of a very limited Box Set, which contains 10 of them.

I politely said "no thank you".
So now the next craze for the MoonSwatch box set flippers will be the F1 box set

Hahaha. No. Because it costs the flipper price at list. There's nowhere to go.

So a new watch case has been made? Chance the bezel and we have a new model on the market? Or is this wishful thinking?

Not really. The F1 case with the covered lugs got bigger and was used in the 2000s....

From what I saw, the case shape looks just like the original. Even has the same plastic style strap on the plastic looking models. Whether or not it's the exact same size, I'm not sure, but I was told it's the same.

From TH’s story feed.
I really think this is a bad idea, 'messing around' with the logo. Where is this going? I hope there will be versions with a regular logo available!

Heuer.

TAG Heuer.

Heuer vintage/heritage and TAG Heuer.

Now TAG Heuer and KITH Heuer.

At first I thought that these might be sold exclusively via KITH. If the price was cheap, it would allow TAG Heuer to still push themselves up market, since KITH would be acting as their version of Swatch. But I don't think these will be cheap, the Box Set certainly is not.

It's baffling to me. As a fan of the original F1, I would've been interested to buy one or two of these reissues. But I've no desire to own a KITH-Heuer. I think the branding is a big mistake.

I'll happily stick with my vintage originals.

So they are celebrating and paying homage to the first ever watch to bear the TAG Heuer logo… by removing the TAG Heuer logo! 😵‍💫 🤬 🫨 :whipped:

I could accept that caseback with the KITH Heuer logo just on the back, but not on the dial. It's a shame. I will also just stick with my original F1 with the correct logo 👍

I was thinking the same thing! haha! "Isn't it iconic" to quote Alanis Morissette

I put that on their Instagram post. Well I said it was 'avant garde'...

Since Kith is such an influential brand, I get the collaboration. It helps to amplify TH’s cool factor.

But if I’m ever in the cafeteria at La Chaux-de-Fonds, I’d beg them to do true loyalist fan collaboration at some point. The fact that there was ever a C11 Siffert is remarkable. All the high profile collaborations are surely effective in building brand hype and that's a good thing from a business standpoint, so I get it.

But this group right here is as passionate a fan base as I’ve ever seen. We’re like sports fans when it comes to TH/Heuer. I secretly wish, however, that there was a loyalist fan convention in Switzerland, London, or New York for some sort of better 2-way brand experience -- who knows what would start brewing out of such an event....

Fantasy aside -- the reality is the company makes stuff and we either buy or don't buy it.

Definitely going to be an interesting release!

I do agree they should’ve kept the TAG Heuer logo on the dial. They should’ve added the KITH logo above the 6pm area on the dial like other rare vintage F1s.

I hope they keep it the classic size which would open up new parts being made for vintage F1s. As we all know parts are getting hard to find and most TAG Heuer service centres no longer will touch a vintage F1.

Here’s my 1994 WA1211! (371.513) Newly refreshed with a new bezel & click spring.

I wonder if the Siffert would have got made if it had been more than just one person's vision though...

Good point. A fan summit with the brand would be fun though.

I can't tell when you're being sarcastic or serious sometimes.

I assume in NYC there's a cool factor. Don't know about the rest of the US or World. I never heard of him or KITH before the Hodinkee video. But I know I'm not in the demographic for KITH attire.

Which makes me wonder, what demographic are these aimed at? Those of us who bought originals in our youth are middle aged or older. Will these really sell well with the 20 something group? Especially at the lofty prices expected?
