Really like the 15m countdown. Surprised that’s with a 12 hr counter, as from memory when I’ve seen that before they normally half the hour counter. Really don’t like the illegible chrono counter hands, assuming they are metal and not painted (again).

I do agree, but it is very nice in person in ways that don't come across as much in photos. The running seconds isn't as bad as others IMO, nor is the date, but this would have been an 11/10 if it were 2-register.
It is very nice in person, but when I tried it on it didn't grab me enough to pre-order one. I think if it had a white outer ring and was Heuer branded like the original it might've tipped the scales in favor of buying. The strap isn't for me either, but that's an easy fix.

New glassbox is 39mm, the original Skipper ref. 7754 was 36mm (or 35.5mm to be exact).

In addition, you'll notice in that pic that the new Skipper is placed closer to the camera than the old one. Hence the perspective makes it look even larger.

I think it’s too small for me, but I am intrigued by the various features and high quality finish that I have heard people rave about already.

Currently available to "Add To Cart" in the US. No mention of it even being a Special Edition on the website.
