From 2020, a custom Bamford, beating TAG at its own game. This would've been an interesting release. Monaskipper? Skipperaco?

That's interesting, actually works rather well with the colors chosen (even if they're not quite correct, and the regatta timer fields are on the running seconds instead of the chronograph)

Really bored of literally EVERYONE on youtube saying how amazing the Skipper is. Its almost like no one wants to be seen as the idiot with their own mind...

Not having a go at the watch, just think it's weird that every single YouTube watch guru, even bloody Christian Theron loves it.

Well I mean it's been a sales success... maybe it really is just a good watch?

Read the Worn & Wound review, that was balanced I think.

The praise for the new glassbox in general has been overwhelmingly positive. Hence it seems quite logical that the praise would continue for the Skipper.

While I've not personally warmed up fully to the new glassbox, it's nice to see TAG Heuer getting positive reviews.

Yeah, I know we should be happy, but it almost feels like a bandwagon that everyone is jumping on. Like when everyone suddenly decided the GP Laureato was the next big thing. Though that seems to have calmed down considerably.

Agree that it is good to see positive youtube ads about TAG but honestly I have given up on these so called watch "journalists" at this point. They all repeat the same messages and standpoints.

At least on this one they won't feel it necessary to tell us how SMQ wore a Monaco in the film Le Mans, but they might still feel the need to tell us how Jack Heuer liked the name Carrera and Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I know a couple people who have / have had Laureato chronographs and they really do love them. It's not my cup of tea but it sounds like it really is a good watch

Yeah I'm not saying it isn't, albeit it is kind of a Royal Oak for people who can't get a Royal Oak... it just seemed like a bit of a trendy thing to like all of a sudden.

Yeah I'm not into it mostly because of that. Though it's not as blatant a wannabe as most of the others I think

No. Honestly to me it looks like a bad 80s watch, I'd much rather have an Alpine Eagle.

One thing about these Watches is the TH-20 Movement is amazingly accurate. Mine hasn't lost or gained a second over a week.

Great!

I'd feel better about it though if it were COSC and the date wheel was always straight.

I brought this problem up with my Boutique manager last week. They are happy to take it back and have it fixed. I'm just not ready for it to leave my possession yet.
As I've said before, I can't even see the date without my glasses. So no big deal.
