Dom, in real life does the subdial surround look white? Cos it sure as hell looks silver to me.
Overall the dial is white in color. When I was comparing it next to my Autavia, the whiteness of the dial was very strong and evident. As with the sub dials on the 39mm Carrera's the sub dials on this watch are light dependent and as well. It seems like their is a pearl layer in the finishing that gives the dial some reflective and dynamic pop. Its like a car with a really good paintjob that has just a touch of candy metallic that helps show off the lines.

I am very impressed with the dial finishing and the plating and polish on all the steel pieces - hands, indices, case...

I am looking forward to the day I get to perform the strap change for him.

This shot shows a bit how the way light hits it, it all changes - dial is more silver, sub dial more white

Gosh this watch is gorgeous! Your pictures are making me like the bracelet as much as the nato now. If it were a couple of grand cheaper I'd be 100% in on buying one.

It doesn't help that the rehaut is white and still looks white even when the dial looks silver

Live shot. Subdials are definitely the same color as the dial but the rings do catch the light differently sometimes

Red one really should've come with a gold bracelet and red strap.

Not yet mentioned is how the Carrera engraving on the side breaks up the slabbiness very nicely

Definitely! I was quite surprised at how well it wore and looked on my wrist. The added blue circle in the dial helps it shrink the open space. I look forward to future releases and hope that TH incorporates more design to help bring the sportiness out of the watch. I will now ask to try on one of the sport models just to see how they wear. The green dial version always caught my eye but I thought these would wear too big.
One thing to note is that this feels more like an evolution or modern take on the Carrera design. The 39mm feels more classically inspired with its more similar angles. The 42mm fits good on the wrist due to the length in the lugs being shorter than what they might be if the classic proportions were kept. It feels and looks like a modern watch.

What's the betting on these selling out, vs turning up in an outlet?

I'm really surprised the blue is still available in the UK. It's showing out of stock just about everywhere else (e.g. US, Germany, Australia, Japan etc.)

I might be wrong, but I'm under the impression that on-line stock can be redistributed to other countries if left unsold for too long.

At least there have been several cases where a LE watch had been sold out in the US, only to suddenly show up as available months (or even a year) later. Same for TH Boutiques as well.

Yes, as Jim said a few weeks ago Sweden suddenly got new supplies of unsold Ice Kings..

@dtf, if you're on the fence, I'd go for it. I really doubt the blue will ever show up at a discount outlet.

I'm actually kind of glad it's been sold out since day 1 here in the US, as I don't want to be further tempted into buying. I love this watch, but I'm somewhat biased as a Porsche 911 Carrera owner. Looking at it more objectively, I feel $7,750 is just too much. Especially since a standard Carrera Elegant goes for $5650 and the Porsche x Carrera Sport (black & red version) w/ bracelet is $6,850. Still the heart wants what the heart wants...
