Not pictured here the Telemeter
That’s a great collection - the same watch, but all of them very different at the same time.

love the green one……

What they do in five years when they've gone through every conceivable dial colour though?

Stripes? Or that paint that changes colour depending on the light, sure they’ll think of something.

Oh yeah, two tone dials.... but I expect to see those on the Hublots first.
They did a Highlands of Scotland Carrera once, but it had a dark green dial, what a wasted opportunity to utilise tartan

I'd take this personally

The dial on the glassbox red Carrera is lively. Well done, TAG Heuer.

I would love to see TAG Heuer base a current Aquaracer 43 mm on this one above.

Like it Hubert - amazing collection. Just need a rally strap for the red now. Which is your favourite? I think I'd have to go with the dato or the green personally (still love my silver, though).
Yes, I will change it to the rally strap. I think I'd go with the silver, but next year's model should rise to the top!

I think he's referring to the 60th anniversary Carrera, which many of us are hopefully assuming will be a classic panda. At least I am.

Good for TH then. Courage paid off 👍

The above was my personal and subjective impulse reaction, but I wanted to wait a little bit before writing a slightly more substantial one - even though, after 48h, this watch almost feels like “old” news already…

I have now glanced over all content re. this Carrera that was out there to read, look at or watch and, overall, I still think this model variant is esthetically more of a miss than a hit. While this obviously remains a subjective appreciation, I think there are two points, which might actually be a bit more objective:

First, red is already a “loud” color in and of itself. And giving it a sunburst treatment is IMHO just too much. Rather, I think that red dials work better when they’re matte and/or have a dégradé/fumé element to them. I actually own such a dive watch (which I still do not wear that often) and have semi-lusted after a vintage Defy with such a dial for some time; photos below:

Second, I think that this loud and flashy dial feels particularly out of place on a vintage-inspired Carrera, given that, historically, the Carrera has always been a chrono which has distinguished itself by a very clean design and supreme legibility (including compared with many of its contemporary rivals). Thus I’m specifically not a huge fan of sunburst red on the 39mm glassbox Carrera…

I see and understand your point. Moreover, I also think that "loud" and flashy colors should be limited to the likes of Invicta or some chinese crap. A classy watch should be like a well-tailored suit, which does not scream, but still shows taste and class. IMHO, as always.

I’ve always liked red dials, so I was intrigued by this one immediately. The dial can go from a subdued, dark red to a lively explosion of cherry red sunray when light hits it.
While it may not be for some, I love it! 🥰

Wow, what a radiant red that must be. Looks like a leading prophet for the Church of Red Dials from here, nice picture! 👍

Oh yeah, Hublot x Heuer LE, love it!
Nothing would surprise me these days!

have they done a blue one? Maybe that could be an option.

No, surprising isn't it. Well there's the Skipper I guess and the Blue Dreamer.... both are blue.

I forgot about those. But a blue sunburst much in the same vein as the red would be a winner in my book, and get me thinking about getting the wallet out….
