What about a cream lume dial, like a Heritage Night Diver. The crossover potential is huge. Maybe some octagonal markers too.
Heritage glassbox night diver? Maybe, might work out to be brilliant. Feels like you joking, I wasn't joking about the blue with creamy sub dials though.
I is deadly seriouz. A sort of 1960s Nightdiver, what Jack might have done if he had the foresight to know the octagons would be cool one day.
I don't think Jack would have done that on a Carrera, though. The Carrera was a racing chrono for people who wanted a more clean and elegant look.
Is that cos Jack was pure of spirit and not a money making whore? Is that why Heuer nearly went bust?
He certainly wasn't that. I just think he had a clear vision for what the Carrera should be, and he had other models for more sportier looks and more niche functions.
Isn't it magnificent. The ultimate tool watch splattered with black diamonds. I wish I had bought it when I had the chance.
Been done before on some of the original models. Also on some later gens too. But I think the current Aquaracer Night Diver is pretty cool. No other Night Diver needed as far as I'm concerned, certainly not on a Carrera.
Who knows if it'll be the F1? If they're gonna do a full lume watch for Le Mans, I wouldn't mind seeing an all black DLC Monaco H02 with an off-white panda dial, including contrasting black hour markers, sub-dials and hands. They could call it the "Night Lord".
