It is truly fantastic to see that there are still journalists who go in-depth and bring some thought through analysis and perspective to things

Yes, I shall take this model and run with it, I shall save myself so much time

Tried one on today, blue shade on the dial changes the type of light it’s in, not a lot but some make it lighter than others, couldn’t go outside to try sunlight unfortunately, if I didn’t have a GMT watch* I might have tried my preferred AD and haggled.

* Worn mine when on holiday but not really needed, never that far away to be hours out nowadays.

With all those aesthetic details, each chosen to maximise the watch’s performance, the new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 GMT needed an ultra-reliable movement, too. Inside the watch therefore is TAG Heuer‘s Caliber 7, a Swiss Made automatic with a power reserve of up to 50 hours. It also provides the watch with its date function, centred at 6 o’clock and indicated under a ‘Cyclops’ magnifier.

Can't say I've heard of many issues with the SW330, so perhaps it is. Still should be cheaper though!

It's a cracker. Fantastic novel colour scheme.

It should sell well. If it doesn't and there's some left over in a couple of years when it goes end of life, I'll try to grab one then from Ernest Jones at discount lol!

I have SW300 in another brand watch and it's a great true GMT movement.

No, they've decided to go with a cut-to-size option. Probably because it fits the micro-adjust clasp better - there's no overhang.

The watch itself is fine, it's the same size as the regular Aquaracer and aside from the GMT hand and white portion of the bezel is actually the standard blue-dial Aquaracer - so if you've tried that one on, chances are you'd like this one.

I haven't had that problem with mine, but I also don't mind the minor difference in thickness.

It's definitely not a "made-up difference" - actually traveling with a caller GMT is kind of a pain compared to the fun of being able to quickly switch the local hour on a flyer GMT. After having owned 3 caller GMTs, there's a reason that only the Black Bay GMT remains in my collection and there's a reason I won't buy another caller GMT.

I bought the original Yema Superman GMT blue/grey because it looked cool; I sold it because it wasn't very fun to wear.
Good to know.

and I agree with you about the flyer gmt compared to caller. A true gmt is a joy to use (although I only really use on holiday or work travel). That said, I’m not sure it would stop me buying this one. I really like the looks. I’m going to wait for it to appear in windows a bit and see what I can do.

Correction. My bro Jim is not a common man.

Some might says he is the inspirational behind Peaky Blinders.

Very nice - tried both versions in the shop. It’s right on the edge of what I’d get away with size wise, but I think it looks great and the watch pops in the light. Didn’t like the rubber much - felt quite stiff and unyielding, but the bracelet was great and the adjustment system is really well done and worked nicely.

Definitely on the short list……..I wouldn’t have bought the bracelet one today even if I wanted to as the bezel was slightly misaligned…..

Many years ago we had a German coal cutting machine at the colliery I worked in, two reps came over for a weekend ever 3 months to ‘supervise’ maintainance, they were always in a rush on Sunday to get to the airport to get home, one weekend the chief engineer left word he wanted a ‘full and concise’ report left for him, they did so but Monday morning we all watched as he picked up the report and realised it was………… written in German! Much sniggering that morning in the office.
