I’m also in the camp that the modern Heuer Monaco Calibre11 39mm are better proportioned and just looks fabulous compared to the vintage. Nothing against the vintage ones, the packaging of the modern ones just awesome for me. It’s just like a classic vintage 911 vs a modern 911 debate 😉
Usually I say that in matter of tastes there can be no disputes. Usually.

He probably got a good discount on the green one
This is a joke right, given that none of these drivers choose what watch to wear when they appear in media, pure advertisement 😁 hence why Max is rocking Rolex when he is not working and actually gets to decide on his own

I guess that weekend will make this one pretty much of a collectors watch!

Oh yes, first Monaco win and first time leading the championship. This might have just become his favourite watch.

How could it not be? It's his lucky charm!
More shots of Max's personal Titan Monaco.

Best get saving..
Well... I think, what I rather must do is remind myself about all other horological awesomeness I could get for the same amount of money. At the end of the day I am not spending $10500 on a Sellita base movement. On top of mind I think for instance I would prefer a GO Panomatic lunar with superb hand finishing, 98% built inhouse, semi-micro isch rotor with solid gold rotor weight etc. That watch feels like a real bargain compared to the Titan.

I can’t help but notice that in several pictures of the Heuer Monaco Titan from afar particularly when Max is wearing the watch, I can see a very similar semblance of the Heuer Monaco CAW211B (Vintage Grey) with it 😉

The basic aesthetic is very similar. I wonder if the subdials might even be the same.

It's also kind of a funny idea because for the original 1133G and 1533G, there was a lot of variability in the grey dials. Some were dark grey and others were close to silver.

Ultimately this is why I'm not actually considering buying this one. In the US it's $7900 but that will still buy you a lot of watch, models that don't even know what an off-the-shelf Sellita is. I'll be watching this one on the used market, though

That's the original planned design for the B, with the straight subdial hands and smokey case. The end product wasn't quite as attractive though
