I did get to try one on and it is lovely. The dial is very clean and very legible. What doesn't show up well in the photos are the matt black sub-dials, which really stand out. The red pip on the 12 o'clock is also barely noticeable in the metal, and although some folks do not like it, I do. The strap is alligator skin, but with a "tech" feel, similar to the imitation leather quick-change connected straps from last year. But you as the owner know it's real leather, so that's ok. It is SO light! Especially for a Monaco! The sandblasting is uniform across all surfaces, which is really noticeably different from the combination of brushed and polished surfaces you usually get with a Calibre 11 Monaco. Also, many LEs are quirky in their design - "special" colours, etc. which may not be to everyone's taste. But the Titan surely has universal appeal. I think it'll be a popular collectable model in the future. It's a damn good looker.
What's not so great, it's a LE that's presented as a SE - so no individual numbering, or even "one of..." wording on the back. It's expensive for a Calibre 11, at a thousand pounds more than the 50th anniversary models. It comes with a travel case, which is nice, but not enough to compensate for the price. What would have swung it for me though - the inclusion of a titanium version of the BA0644 bracelet, in addition to the alligator strap. That would have made it super special and worth the money. There's no other way to wear this baby on a bracelet, a titanium case on a steel Monaco bracelet would be daft. The reason I like the Bamford Aquaracer so much is that it doesn't just have a titanium case, but bracelet too, and so feels "complete" as a LE.
That the Titan may genuinely be the final Calibre 11 Monaco was almost enough for me to buy it. If I didn't already have a Monaco, I could have reasoned making this The One... But for the money it wasn't quite right for me on the day.
