So what, they just printed some random 'Le Mans' inserts for no reason at all.... 😵‍💫

It's okay Hubert, we know you're being diplomatic and we respect your inability to come clean about the Le Mans Monaco that is definitely coming in August.😜

But then, thinking about it, if Hubert knew something, he would have known that he hadn't bought the Le Mans Monaco. So maybe he really doesn't know anything and maybe there isn't a Le Mans Monaco. But then why print boxes?

Maybe he didn't know when posting his box but after he spoke to Aurnault he now knows and therefore now has confirmed that there is a Lemans Monaco coming 👍

If only someone could share a photo of this one, we usually get to see a leak but this confirmed LeMans Monaco is flying under the radar apparently

I didn't know when I got my Titan. I was simply told by the boutique that this was the official name. Of course, now we know it was not! So whether we get a "Le Mans" edition this year, or next is the key question. The box error leads me to believe it could be this year, but nothing concrete as of today.

Fair warning, I'm told that the titanium Monaco is getting close to sold out, so if you want one, best not delay too much longer!

I did get to try one on and it is lovely. The dial is very clean and very legible. What doesn't show up well in the photos are the matt black sub-dials, which really stand out. The red pip on the 12 o'clock is also barely noticeable in the metal, and although some folks do not like it, I do. The strap is alligator skin, but with a "tech" feel, similar to the imitation leather quick-change connected straps from last year. But you as the owner know it's real leather, so that's ok. It is SO light! Especially for a Monaco! The sandblasting is uniform across all surfaces, which is really noticeably different from the combination of brushed and polished surfaces you usually get with a Calibre 11 Monaco. Also, many LEs are quirky in their design - "special" colours, etc. which may not be to everyone's taste. But the Titan surely has universal appeal. I think it'll be a popular collectable model in the future. It's a damn good looker.

What's not so great, it's a LE that's presented as a SE - so no individual numbering, or even "one of..." wording on the back. It's expensive for a Calibre 11, at a thousand pounds more than the 50th anniversary models. It comes with a travel case, which is nice, but not enough to compensate for the price. What would have swung it for me though - the inclusion of a titanium version of the BA0644 bracelet, in addition to the alligator strap. That would have made it super special and worth the money. There's no other way to wear this baby on a bracelet, a titanium case on a steel Monaco bracelet would be daft. The reason I like the Bamford Aquaracer so much is that it doesn't just have a titanium case, but bracelet too, and so feels "complete" as a LE.

That the Titan may genuinely be the final Calibre 11 Monaco was almost enough for me to buy it. If I didn't already have a Monaco, I could have reasoned making this The One... But for the money it wasn't quite right for me on the day.

Say whaaaat?

The 211P Blue McQueen will continue on, perhaps indefinitely, but it's not hard to imagine the Titan being the last new release featuring the Calibre 11.

But dont you think they would have used that as a marketing ploy like they did with "the last ever edition special never again to happen calibre 12 Monaco"

Good point. Although a bit trickier since we know they would be continuing with the blue dial whatever happens.

To me it makes no sense at all to discontinue the cal 11 Monaco. Probably the model with the highest margins. They spend maybe $20 for the movement, a couple hundred for material and sell it for $7500.

That's true. I could see a Cal 11 Final Edition, at some point.

Frederic Arnault has teased doing an Ed-White Speedmaster-esque "New" exact reproduction Calibre 11. I wonder, if at some point, that watch might replace today's Calibre 11, and then the existing blue version could be discontinued, and the Cal 11, would only be a very special edition.
